hi there i have been looking at getting some oem panniers for my 800.

now have fitted my m8s 1200 panniers on no problem same as the cross runner. but anyone know if there is any diffrence in fitment?

as seem to get a good deal with 1200 panners but the 800 are still mega money.

thanks

I have bought 1200 panniers. The right pannier needs to be modified to fit the 800. There is a lump on the heat protection shield that hits the exhaust.

Greetings,

Mark

It's a bit piramid-like, I cut it with an angle grinder and folded it flat.

I put tape over it because the edges still are a little sharp. I'm looking for a better solution....

well if thats all you got to do then bingo. take it the locks from the 800 will go in ok?

idea for you take the heat sheled off and just cut whats needed then get some one to just tack weld the hole. once its flat that is?

I don't know about the locks, I bought them with locks and keys.

The sheald is attached with rivets, so taking it off is not so easy and I am scared to damage the pannier.

well as long as your fix is ok then leave it.

least i know they fit and wont fall off. for some reason the 1200 panniers are cheeper like half the price of the 800 ones.

many thanks for ya help
