Can nuts & bolts from a hardware store be used for mounting the rear sprocket?

I messed up the threads on (I think all 6) of mine & I'm supposed to be leaving Friday morning to go racing for the weekend.

Ummm, sort of and fiddly. But if your desperate and can't get the Allen head bolts your going to have to take into account that they are recessed into the back plate.

You will require high tensile bolts and nyloc nuts that will handle the torque tightening settings required. There is some clearance for a nut head to poke out but you will need to make or get washers/spacers to fill the recess where the Allen head bolts went in.

Thanks GleninAus.

Surprisingly its only 25 ft/lbs of torque on those.
