Those of you with more experience, how on earth do you get your helmet in the side case? I've read they fit in the left one... XL Shoei?

Not sure if XL would fit!? I have a M Shoei and have to wiggle it and it barely fits. It's a pain and something Ivse just accepted but I do miss 6th gen bags because of that.
Icarry a bike lock and normally just lock it to the bike which is quicker than trying to fit in a side case.
My small Arai RX-Q barely fit. My small Arai Defiant does not.
A Medium Scorpion EXO-1000 wouldn't fit. My XXL definitely won't fit. I was more than a little disappointed with that.
My Medium Schuberth C3 Pro fits but my wife's Large Shoei NeoTech does not. Having said that we both just lock the helmets to the bike.
Good to know I'm not alone on this... There were a few minutes there that I was in serious self-doubt on my packing ability.
That's why I have a big ass Givi topcase on mine... I only use the factory side cases when touring.
I added the Honda 45L topbox, and it fits 2 full face helmets. My small Shoei does not fit in the side cases. Most of the time I hang my helmet from the mirror.
