I was intrigued by this upgrade for two reasons. First, it was in an MSTA STAReview article, and second, the experimental bike was a VFR. Anyone running this on a 6th gen?

I installed LED headlights in my fifth gen and love them. Since they draw less power than the oem's the load on the R/R is increased. I have a VFRness and an upgraded R/R with a 3/8" aluminum heat sink (made by VFRD member mellow dude) attached between the R/R and the sub-frame to keep things cool.
I am running LEDs on my 4th Gen, same comments as above, upgraded R&R and saw about +1 volt on the voltmeter after the LED install. Don't be surprised if you have to re-aim the headlights after installing the bulb. The base/heatsink of the bulb required me to modify the spring mount and rubber boot, but I am very happy with it.
