Akrapovic Spud Removal

I'm struggling to remove the spud from my Akrapovic end can on my '15 VFR800X Crossrunner. I've removed the retaining screw but the spud refuses to move. I've tried pliers but all they do is mark the metal. Is there some kind of magic to get it out or am I being a numpty?

Any useful advice appreciated.

Would there be anything left of the spud after removal using that? :goofy:

It might bend the internal end of the baffle (I assume that's what we're talking about here) slightly, if at all, but I'm guessing it'll pop right out.

I use one weekly to remove the spuds on my autocross car.  No issues, they just pop out.

Might depend on how long the spud has been in place.

It's a little expensive to buy one of those just to pull a spud out though, but thanks anyway. :beer:

You could probably rig up a similar tool sufficient enough to get them out.
