The past years have failed in securing me a new job following redundancy.  But has seen a 2003 RC51, a 1984 VF400F, a 1954 Gilera 150cc and a 4th Gen (again) come into my life.

And it has seen contineous enjoyment from reading and contributing to VFRDISCUSSION.

I want to thank tou all for that!       As mentioned in other posts, one's health is king!

Doesn't seem to have stopped you enjoying yourself and improving your garage.

Kudos on the positive attitude Dutchy and how 'bout a pic of your new 4th GEN? I was wondering how long you could stay away.

I remember. You were journaling a big trip through Belgium or something vaguely Frenchy like that. Someone turned left in front of you.  Which is different than the time some truck backed up into you at a stop.

I’m glad you’re still riding, wrenching, and posting.

Or as the Scots say.....

Whit’s fur ye’ll no go by ye!

I just accepted a position as SOx Compliance Officer Benelux for a Japanese multinational  :cheerleader:

Very very happy, albeit that my riding and wrenching time will be curtailed. Each plus has a minus eh?  :goofy:

Congrats, Dutchy!!  🙂

Well this sucks! You've been my roll model for living without work.😀

Hope it doesn't get in the way too much. Congratulations Leon!

Here in the states, we spell it socks, except those nutty folks on the south side of Chicago.  I never knew there was such a thing as the Socks Police!  😁

So...what does a Socks Cop actually do?  Translation: What's a SOx Compliance Officer Benelux?

Treated myself to savour the moment...

And @Sweeper, with 38 days paid vacation p/a (on top of  the 7 days -paid- national holidays), there will be plenty opportunity to ride and tinker....

I'm V happy for you Dutchy. Having a job does so much for one's selfworth. I hope you find it rewarding and actually liking the work.
