Last 50 of 75- new owner, need help with windscreen (it's too tall) Seems Harley riders have a similar problem helped by this deflector. [image: 47AB95A0-E306-461B-8ABB-45A00BC57126.jpeg]
- new owner, need help with windscreen (it's too tall) I agree with you. I like everything about the bike but for the wind noise/turbulence and wondered why there wasn’t much mention on this forum till you started. I first tried Helibars, that while more comfortable to me,…
- Clunky shifts? Very worth it to flush the clutch fluid and easier to do if you suck out the brake fluid from the clutch master first, but I think changing oil is what’s indicated. My ‘12 shifts very well in the first two thousand…
- new owner, need help with windscreen (it's too tall) Thanks for all your testing. I was hoping you’d make a break through. I’d like to try your under headlight spoiler. Looks like it just extends about an inch or so?
- new owner, need help with windscreen (it's too tall) I’m trying your “ghetto” solution for a test tomorrow. Yours is fabricated with cardboard and duck tape? I’m so impressed that you’ve stuck with it, especially after I became resigned to the buffeting.
- new owner, need help with windscreen (it's too tall) Good idea tapping the lower opening. I’ll tape mine over the next two days and report. My hypothesis was that there was too much of a vacuum behind the windshield causing the turbulence that doesnt seem to bear out.
- new owner, need help with windscreen (it's too tall) Very interested in your results. I took the opposite track and first got a bigger/taller windscreen that increase the buffeting, then cut holes in the lower part thinking there was too much of a vacuum/back draft behind…
- new owner, need help with windscreen (it's too tall) I tried the National Cycle touring VStream N20006 and found it very noisy with lots of buffeting. I’m 5’9” and have Helibars. I switched back to stock.
- Big H Issued A Recall On Vfr1200F And Vfr1200X Re:drive-Shafts Although I didn’t have any symptoms with my driveshaft, I had it done as soon as the replacements were available and have had continuous good rides. Happy trails.
- Antifreeze coolant flush Thanks for the reminder. I’ve got to do mine too.
- Abs brake flush and air bleed Good job! Hope you don’t run into anything now😬.
- Abs brake flush and air bleed If you do it after Thanksgiving just use the old turkey baster (a new one is only a couple of bucks) and suck out the old brake fluid from the master first, then refill. Makes the job go quicker using less brake fluid.
- Tires again !! weven, 11/10/2018 at 1:17 AM My back ground is over dimensional and over mass vehicles, trust me tyres/tires for eg. 26000kg/57000lbs on 8 wheels were a massive cost, so load and pressures consumed my mind set because…
- Does anyone have the brilliant black paint code? Has just about the right amount of black😎
- Tires again !! My usual ride is 15 miles on Oahu’s crater sized pothole roadways where I doubt I see 60 mph for more than a few seconds, but have never thought but to inflate 36F/42R. Any suggestions?
- Broken mirror Ditto. My right side broke on a tip over. I thought by now someone would have discovered a good replacement for a great price.
- Engine oil recommendations Just cause it’s a wet clutch oil gets circulated throughout the engine, I like changing the oil and filter every 3k Miles. wonder was Dae’s maintenance schedule is?
- He's coming home Looks great, exactly what my bike should look like.
- Look ma! No cables Great Dropbox history. Mahalo.
- Naked Delight - The story so far - Phase 3 Both the Red and White look great. While I was in the process of plastidipping mine, I had this look as well as using 20mm ammo cans till my saddle bags arrived. Where did the tank “wings” come from? [image:…
- Tires again !! I really didn’t think anything about my OE tires till I got a spike embedded and replaced them at 8K miles with a pair of Michelin Road Pilot 4s. The bike rode better everyday, confidence inspiring in the rain and with…
- Tires again !! What have you got mounted now? Any problems and how long have they lasted?
- Fuel Consumption with Power Commander I've averaged 38.8 miles per US gallon over 14K miles on my '12 6spd. My usual ride is approx. 15 miles one way.
- SEBSPEED cover on a 7th Gen The stills looks great. Thanks for the photo step by step. Ask the wife to have another go so you can see/photograph the clutch in action.
- Newbie Owner!!! It's possible the recall was performed. Elsewhere on this form this was reported. Posted March 22, 2016 · Report post I was told yesterday that when the test is carried out and passes a pinch mark is out on the drive…
- The VFR1200 is no longer on Honda's website 15 hours ago, Spreeweiler Classic kinda like the 2004 / 2005 Honda Rune... :goofy: The VFR12 is as your "friends" say; the best scooter!
- Newbie Owner!!! Love my (6spd) scooter!
- Rear preload adjuster for passenger It has a tendency to stick. Twist the knob at least every time you do an oil change.
- Newbie Owner!!! Try Plasti Dip. Inexpensive rattle cans and mine is nearly two years old. Maybe it's time for me to peel it off and ride with the stock blue, or another color. Downside is it's more of a flat color.
- Newbie Owner!!! May be time to get a new battery. I had a Battery Tender connected to mine that kept the old battery working beyond it's years leaving me stranded one morning. I replaced it w/ a LiOn .....to improve the acceleration…
- Newbie Owner!!! Has the driveshaft recalled be accomplished?
- VFR1200F Crash Protection - recommendations 6 hours ago, Normand A lot better then the Vstream i had previously ! Vstream was just horrible, returned it after one ride. The Givi with extention is my cold spring-fall set-up, for summer i use the honda windscreen…
- VFR1200F Crash Protection - recommendations 8 hours ago, Normand I have a set made by T-Rex, with sidecase protectors i installed Piaa led fog lamp to the side protectors [image: 20161119_160450.jpg] Normand, how do you like your windshield extension? I installed…
- Public Service Organ Donation My license box is checked.
- Tyre/Tire Choice for 1200F I've got 6k on my PR4s that look good, but what's in Red is incomproable.
- VFR1200F Crash Protection - recommendations You're right to install case covers before any tipover. T-Rex covers do look good.....but probably wouldn't hide the "flaws" on my case cover.
- VFR1200F Crash Protection - recommendations I installed R&G case covers AFTER a tipover to hid the marks as well as their frame sliders that require cutting a hole in the fairing. [image: IMG_3147.JPG]
- Dunlop Roadsmart 3 6 hours ago, swimmer If I really want to wear them to the minimum I probably could have gotten another 1k miles out of them but wanted to get the new tires put on in case I needed/decided to head out for a trip before…
- The VFR1200 is no longer on Honda's website Wow! I'll have a classic in a few years. We're founding members of the VFR1200 Classic Club.
- Dunlop Roadsmart 3 At 15K are your PR4s worn out? Plz keep up updated.
- Dunlop Roadsmart 3 I have PR4s on my 1200 that I think are great, but looking to your impressions of the RS3. How many miles do you have on the PR4s?
- New shaft drive motorcycle land-speed record? Love seeing that my VFR could get to 175+, but it'll have to do it vicariously because it's rider would fall off even a full throttle 3rd gear roll on!
- OEM Windscreen Deflector with Aftermarket Windscreen? Does anyone have/use a windscreen that reduces the noise and buffeting that the OEM, OEM w/ screen deflector or VStream do not?
- OEM Windscreen Deflector with Aftermarket Windscreen? I have a VStream touring shield that directs the air differently than the original, but noisier than stock and doesn't keep the wind blast from hitting my helmet. I've been disappointed. I hoped it would be quiet…
- New Member - New Questions Congratulations, you made the right move. I would have got the LSL but thought I'd have to change the brake and clutch lines. Turns out not, but I got the Heli bars. I wish they would allow a more upright position, but…
- Clutch - Vibration Explain what sound you hear/feel and when do you hear it. I haven't noticed my bike making any new sounds, but maybe I'm just oblivious. Whatever, I hope it won't interfere with having a Merry Christmas.
- Fuel economy. 180 miles per tank is a joke I average 38+mpg, but I did get stuck in a traffic jam for about an hour resulting in 34 mpg for that tank. Aside, what kind of windscreen are you using? I replaced my stock with a VStream that is worst than stock.…
- Bringing your vfr 1200 indoors?(for the winter) Of course my bike is jealous, but it's staying in the garage.
- ID/pics of this custom black paint job If I didn't already have a VFR, your CB1100ex would be my ride. Quarter fairing looks good.
- New member I liked everything about the bike except the color. Only the blue for US 2012 so i plastidip painted mine to something more like yours. [image: IMG_0330.PNG]
