All 26- SAE to USB adapter and wiring I have the same bike. When I am not on the trickle charger, I plug the USB onto the connector. Did not see the need for a splitter. I tend to use the USB to charge a small battery while riding. If the engine is not…
- Range of the 8th Gen Routinely get 55 ish mpg, sometimes better, sometimes worse. I can count on close to 60mpg touring though, and will routinely go past 200 miles before a gas stop.
- Tires! I ran the stock tires for 8000 miles, and they were very much shot by then. I put on Pilot Road 4s as replacements, I have always had good luck with them, and I love their wet road handling.
- Tank Protection For 2014 Vfr I just use a large sheet magnet.
- How Does The 8Th Gen Rate? Is It The Best Vfr Yet? Sorry, every bike has been more perfect than the last. I graduated from my SV650 to the VFR, seemed logical to me. L-90s just make sense.
- How To Set The *&% Clock! Mine came with the timer set rather than the clock. I had the dealer fix it at first service.
- Frame Sliders For 8Th Gen I'm 5'8 and have no problem. The cable is for my heated vest, kind of cold these days.

- Frame Sliders For 8Th Gen No such problem here. I'll see if I can get a pic when it is light out tomorrow.
- Frame Sliders For 8Th Gen T Rex does not change how the fairing fits.
- Frame Sliders For 8Th Gen I have the T Rex installed. Hope to never test them, but they look like a quality good.
- New Vfr800's Not Selling Very Well Sorry, but I got the VFR in part because I like those ergos. I am also a sucker for 90 degree engines.
- New Vfr800's Not Selling Very Well My dealer has had a standard model on the floor since the day they came out. He had to order the deluxe, but I still got all of the incentives.
- New To Vfr It is fairly large, and I think it will do well by the plastics, but not the side cases.
- New To Vfr I have this T rex set on. http://t-rex-racing....og.php?item=562
- New Vfr800's Not Selling Very Well I've seen a few in my travels, including showing up at my dealer's for service. I bought it to do distance and I am not disappointed.
- Gel Seat? I'm pretty happy wqith the stock seat. Good for 8 hours easy. A rotten seat reveals itself in the first hour.
- Should Have Been Simple I had a few moments today, so I figured I'd put the battery tender pigtail and heated vest pigtasils on the bike. Good thing I looked, a mouse had moved in under the back seat, making a nest using the freathers from a…
- Engine Died My 2015 also hangs around 85C. Highest so far stuck in traffic was 100C.
- Engine Died Please keep us posted on what you learn. I just passed 1000 miles on the VFR I obught a few weeks ago.
- Ecu Flash On my break in service I told the shop idle was a bit high att 1800 hot. They droppped it to 1000 rpm hot, 2000 rpm cold. The cold idel is almost too fast to go down my driveway in the morning.
- Topcase I was thinking the siplest solution was a topcase that used the same mount. There are planty of aftermarket alternatives that I can use by replacing the mount, but I only want the large bag a few times a year.
- Topcase Stock case on the Gen 8 is 29L. I had a 46L on my SV. Could be that the panniers would be enough for a good 9 day tour.
- Topcase I got the factory topcase with the bike, a surprisingly expensive option as you must buy the luggage rack, the adapter plate, and the case itself. It is nice that it keys to the bike, but on the small side for serious…
- Horn Sounds like a motorcycle horn to me. The only bike horns I liked on a stock bike were on BMWs. Mine gets a few extra tests as it is about where the blinker was on my last bike. Still working at retraining my thumb.
- Still Waiting On The Fricken White Side Bags.............. My red bags came right away, but took a week to get the lock tumblers for them.
