Clock assembly flexible pcb

I'm looking at trying to mitigate failing tracks on the flexible pcb assy (on the back of the clocks)

Would it be worth spraying it with some kind of conformal coat to protect it from oxidation or I'm I just asking for trouble?

The most important part on a 5th gen is a 2" square of plastic below the centre of the headlight. It's there to allow you the change the parking light bulb, but many bikes have lost it & it not being there allows water to spray onto the unprotected PCB of the dash, causing corrosion. Any kind of post pottage is likely to contain & accelerate any existing corrosion, so possibly a blessing & a curse at the same time. Make sure the PCB is clean. Soak with ACF50 &/or make a removable cover for the back & ensure the 2" cover is in place or tape over the hole to keep water out.

Dirty great gap at edge the the screen, designed to deliver rain right down the back of the clocks!

And where is my rain shower proof headlight gasket? 

Jokes aside, I'll see if I can find the missing cover.

And do a spot test with conformal coat on the film wire assembly.

I don't wanna melt or damage it.
