How can you guys still be debating this............the info was out last night........'08 VFR remains unchanged except for "BNG"(Bold New Graphics) :goofy:
All those photoshopped images were obviously derived from current bikes('07 600RR etc.) i.e. faked :warranty:
Be happy that the VFR is still in the lineup as opposed to the thought many had that after '07(due to the anniversary color scheme)the VFR would be discontinued, and look forward to '09/'10 for the replacement......yes, possibly by '09.....if not '10 :warranty:

Onward guys......................................
Truth be told, the real VFR died in 1997......
What came after the 4th gen is nothing more than a tea bag used twice....

so sad to see someone dissing the 5th gen which every one knows was the epitome of line, everything after was gadgetry for the sake of gadgetry

So you're a teabagger, eh? Be careful if you're having drinks with Dutchy! :goofy:
My 5th Gen has seen almost 60,000 uses. Err, miles. Almost 97,000 of your kilometers.
I just got it a new rear shoe, will feed it some new oil soon, and keep on riding.
VFR = Best bike ever.
In the latest edition of "KY Riders" magazine they ran an article of the new 2008 VFR. The article stated that Honda motors and Honda cycles did a joint venture to do a "dual purpose vehicle" with a bit of "retro" looks!!! The "spy" photo is of the prototype so don't get too excited, they still have a few design changes before the finished product. I believe they are headed in the right direction with this....my kids can come along on rides playing video games and I don't have to feel too guilty for long rides away from the family!! Just think....no more searching to find a good deal on used hard bags...look at all of the trunk storage. Can't wait till Killboy snaps a picture of me and the family doing some twisties on the Dragon.....
Being new to this board and reading as much as I can it seems like the whole group here seems not to like their bikes so much and just waiting to trade it in or trade it up on something else with an underlying sense of shame. Guys who collect and ride old bikes will tell you HP is not everything.
Posted this in another topic, but fits here too. They said this was the 2008 VFR 800...seems they now have another picture up in its place!
Hah! any VFR owning person would know that no one in their right mind would think that the world would ever accept a VFR with that slice-of-bread thin seat! And upsidownies and radial caliper mounts up front?! WHEN PIGS FLY!!! :P
Easily busted fake!

Dont let others influence you too much. I have a 6th gen and love it! I havent considred trading once! Maybe some arent satisfied with the horsepower of their steed and thats OK everyone is different. Thats what makes this world what it is. I for one think I have more than enough power to meet my demise on if I dont control the right wrist. For those who are better riders than me,I can understand the want for more, But in my own honest opinion you cant beat the VFR.

It's the old "grass is greener on the other side of the fence" scenario. I went from a faster R6 to the VFR with no regrets and have done 9000 miles of local driving in the year I have had her.
I think it has to do more with curiosity. Can Honda make the VFR better? Eventually my 02 will need to be replaced (but not for a very long while yet) and one can't hope but wonder what comes next. :)
