Why is the access hole for the crank end /pulse sensor so high up the side of the fairing, I guess the new VFR might have an inverted engine just like the Messerschmitt BF109s :rolleyes:

All these rumors and bad photoshop pictures are getting kind of tiresome, but the increasing frequency and quantity of these rumors is getting me excited that something is going to happen :dry: maybe good, maybe bad, but something...

... and just for good measure I'll throw in another rumor... I heard the new VFR is going to have a 400cc V12 with quad turbos, power reverse, a 40 gallon gas tank, 24 inch wheel base with 48 inch wheels, 50 lb dry weight, and an 8 speed manurfenator!!!

Now they're complaining about how complicated the motor is on our bikes??? Just a short time ago, everyone was still swooning about how Honda can give the public such a "jewel" of a motor! I'm afraid that this issue with complicated Vfours might get worse (Note the recent post about a Honda dealer refusing to work on older VFRs). unless Honda
Aprilia, Yamaha(?) and Ducati would soon come up with new sport bikes with the V4/V5 engine architecture.

Is it possible for you to be MORE wrong in this article? Flawed VFR800? I am betting that you have never been in the saddle of one, and if you were, wouldn't know how to get it into first gear.

There is nothing but speculation and guesswork involved in your reporting, nothing involving fact. Maybe a journalism 101 class is in order...

I don't think it (vtech) was flawed, yes it was overcomplicated and had no usefull purpose, no big deal really, expensive..certainly not flawed!

But if they dont fix the vtech thing by giving it a real variable valvetrain that is actually usefull and if it comes in priced out of the market, like it probably will...well..I will be pissed as i am waiting till fall and NOT buying the other bike I want , till I see just what if anything Honda does actually come out with..And if they dont make anything I want or can afford..then i really will be pissed as i will have NOT had my new bike for 3 months by then!! LOTS of "if's" with this and until an official release or roll-out, I'm just not buyin.....yet. Of course, I would think that putting the 2 cylinders up fron would make it a bit roomier for things like the split radiators and a larger oil cooler, but what do I know. Having both a VFR and a BlackBird, I gotta say that coming up with a "two-for-one" replacement for both models IS a pretty tall order. They are both great bikes in their own rights and excell in different areas though have been catagorized as "Best Overall" or "All Around" bikes. Neither is a pure breed in a given area but cover more areas best in a single package better than many other models. I'm happy with both of my "Black Bikes" and will just wait and see what, if anything, does happen later this year. [image: Posted Image]
