I think it needs to be elevated so that it appears to be an art piece. After all, it's such a good looking bike it should have stantions and a security guard to protect it. :goofy:

What kind of exhaust is that...looks friggin cool!
Thanks! It's a home made job. I had an exhaust shop weld up the midpipe and attach chrome truck exhaust tips. Total cost: $140
Sounds great...
I plan on header wrapping and painting the midpipe black sometime this winter. That will cover the imperfections in the welds and should make the midpipe sort of disappear...
It's only a 20 minute job to swap out for the stock exhaust, so depending on whether I'm tearing up the twisties and showing off at bike nights or taking long scenic rides, I can use whichever exhaust is appropriate.

Lol, don't think I haven't considered the integrity of my coffee table for such a purpose... :excl:
Nice bike... but now it looks slightly off balance... lotsa stickers up front but all clean and minimalist up the back... are you thinkgin of replacing the interceptor decals with something more personalized?? I guess it looks even cleaner at the rear with the exhaustectomy and fenderectomy done...

Like I said.. nice bike!!
Yeah, I agree... I'll put something back there sooner or later; just not sure what yet...

I've never liked the interceptor stickers either but after 6 years I think the paint might be a different color under them even though my bike has mostly been in the garage all that time.
If you can legally do it, I'd pull the reflectors off the front forks. It only takes a a couple minutes.
I know we've talked about your exhaust, or another similar one like it, on another thread ad nauseum. But man that looks good but would be loud, I wonder if there'd be someway of muffling it while keeping the length. Maybe baffles or deflectors inside the pipe? Or a pocket filled with steel wool?
But anyway, bike looks great, super clean rear end. I love it displayed in front of the painting, and agree that you need some sort of display stand.
I like the RC46 decal, but the Honda Racing decal seems to just be floating in space. There is nothing around it to tie it together with the lines of the bike. If you must advertise the Honda racing program, I'd put them on the rear where the Interceptor decal used to be. Just my opinion, as it is your bike. With that being said, I still think it is one of the best looking VFR's that I have seen :fing02:

I'm confused? Is that a RC46 ? and if so? how ??
It is a 6th gen so it is an RC46. Just double checked the VIN of my 07 - yep! RC46.
BTW Alien, Parking a motorcycle in your living room is one of the best ways to find out if the woman you like so much is going to be able to stay around very long - just watch her expression when she sees it for the first time without you warning her that is there! If her reaction is something like, COOL! then she should be OK and not likely to try later on to convince you you don't need it!

The Honda Racing decals look better in person than in the pictures. The decal is parallel to the crease in the fairing for the vent right above it. So I guess it follows the lines...
