I have done some searching and saw a link the Swatt clip ons and decided to email them.

I know that it would move the position forward a little bit but I can deal with that. The specs are completely
modular clipons from no raise to 3 1/2 inches with the clipon being at a 5 degree downward angle.

I am thinking about getting the 1 1/2 inch clip ons or would the 2 1/2 inch fit? Those that have done mods to 5th gen, VTR, or anything like that please chime in.

I would go out and measure my bike for myself but the problem is I am posting from Iraq right now. I plan on getting a double bubble when I get back if that adds any clearance at all. I am just looking to do some comfort mods and have something that if I wanted to in the future I could put on inverted forks. Every piece is completely interchangable to different riser blocks, the fork flange size, and the clipon itself.

The problem on the 4th Gen is the upper fairing curves over the top of the clipons. It is hard to guess at what might fit on a 4th Gen. I have a set clipons from a 5th gen that are about 3/4 inch higher than 4th gen stock. I have them raised above the triple about .25 inch to give me a total of 1 inch rise. This is the max I can raise them without hitting the upper fairing. 4th Gen Helibars have a higher rise, but seem to have a different angle that allow them fit under the fairing. Without testing there really is no way to know if these will fit. I do not think that the double bubble will make any difference. If you take a look at a picture of the 4th gen upper fairing, the part the curves up and back and attaches to the edge of the windscreen is the part that my high beam switch on the left clipon will touch if I raise it to high.

I looked now and see where that could be an issue..

I plan on raising the forks a little through the triple tree to improve steering response. But, I only plan on going down 10mm max so that would give me about a 1/2" to play with. My dad is measuring for me and plus I emailed swatt to see if he has done any similar setups.

The reason why i brought up the double bubble was because the posts I read about 5th Gen clipons on a 4th gen. They said that at full lock their brake/clutch reservoirs were hitting the windscreen.

I am thinking that the 2 1/2" is comparable to the 5th gen clipons though.
