I'm getting an 03 w/ ABS and am wondering what mods I can do cosmetically and economically to set my bike apart. I kinda like the look of the carbon fiber tank protector, but haven't been able to find the one I want.
Is there something you can do with the front end or that anyone has done with the V shaped spot inbetween the headlights?
Any custom windshields other than touring?
Any Links to DIY rear fender eliminator?
Tail Light Mods?
Anything and everything, I'm want to see what options are out there. Thanks.
Not to dodge the question, but try to take your time buying stuff(not that I follow my own advise), since your's is a 03' there may be some things you will "need" to spend the money on(suspension/seat/liquids/etc.)after you've riden it a while. Did I say suspension? It might not be a "flash" add-on but it will be noticed by people that are really into what's a good mod. You might look in the "Photo Gallery" to see what's there you like, that way you can get a visual of the parts you might like....
I have a laminar lip for my bike....the touring version...works great, but will cut down your top end speed ( typically not a problem  ). http://www.laminarlip.com/
I am with Monk, Take your time, there will be some that you will have to do. Suspension will be one of the most important and key mods. and like Monk said i true modder will notice that first over a screen or carbon slap-ons. i have done a fair few mods now and the most significant have been correct suspension upgrades and set-up, braided brake lines and tyres (tires) as well as a PCIII. Enjoy the riding and mod away.
A well-thought out fender eliminator is always nice. I simply use the stock bracket but take off the plastic.
Not too many front-end cosmetic mods that I know of. Rivcyko makes a nice bug-buster, Darth Bling makes mounts for GSX-R style mirrors. Lobster makes mirror extenders (okay, so that's more practical than cosmetic.) But all good quality pieces from VFRD members.
Rivcyko made my Bug Buster and it is a high quality piece of work. Fitted that with a new MRA DB Screen (Black) and looks awesome. You could look a Thurn Motorsport who do make some intersting but a little pricey CF parts My link. I am in the process of making a custom CF fender eliminator myself, will post pictures once everything is ready.
Using the stock bracket as template as i want to be able to use the hard luggage rack system and need the ability to attached luggage bracket to rear fender.
Good luck and let us all know what you have decided to mod and with what brands. Always good to see what other people are trying out.

Just so you know, the OEM luggage comes with a different, slightly longer bracket. You'll want to use that piece as your template.
