yesterday I had the opportunity to declare the new VFR at a testride. honda has visually become great job doing and the engine is wonderful. at 14 ° C. we´ve ride 200km on mallorca/spain and I can only advise everybody gets the possibility of: ride it, experienced it and make your own thoughts.
the 267kg? you can´t feel it at all. who has written this in tests in the magazines of germany has no idea about bikes.

It would make sense. Honda has historically given "SC" model numbers to road bikes with greater than 899cc engines. The last one I put on my list was the CBR1000RR, which was SC57, so allowing for a few that have slipped under my radar, SC63 would be logical.
Model numbers are essentially sequential; there does not appear to be any picking and choosing. The RC30/NC30 relationship suggests there was something more than chance at play, but I think it was probably simply chance that made those model numbers so close--otherwise Honda would have given the mini-RVF the model number NC45, rather than NC35...
(Remember, the "RC51" name used in the USA was not that bike's actual model number, which was SC46, IIRC.)

Well, the DC IMS bike show is this weekend. It may have been carrying a bunch of demo bikes for the show, which would undoubtedly mean that there WAS in fact a 2010 VFR on board! Doh!

Could we have more information please? Like your previous VFR experience if any, how the latest version compares to the older versions you might have tested/owned or any other bike you own. Your post,though informative, is a bit too short...
My English is not so good, but I'll try it with "Google Translator". I own an RC46 / 1 and was invited by Honda to test the new VFR in Majorca. With this 5 testers from the German forums (VFROC, Fireblade, Double-X).
We were able to test 200km and I am absolutely delighted with the performance of this bike. You can feel the Kardan only really slow driving, which was one of my biggest fears. But totally unfounded. The sound from the exhaust of something big is phenomenal. At 5000 rpm you get a kick in the back, wonderful and absolutely easy to handle. Not so stubborn as to the use of VTEC.
The weight of 267kg do not feel it in the state and not on the trip. Even on tight hairpin bends, you can easily accelerating out in second gear. Chill has the VFR than 230kg and is at least as agile as the VTEC, compared to the RC46 / 1 even significantly better. The fuel consumption was about 6.5 to 7 liters.
Anyone who has one VFR gets on well with the life of the V4. A Super Blackbird riders need to get used to the horny vibrations. Today there was a comparison between the VFR1200 in Germany and the BMW K1300S. Of course, the BMW has won, but this is not surprising in the preliminary reports. 3000/min There is also talk of a torque hole around. I could not find on my trip, although I have often accelerates from low speeds in fifth gear.

Nice gesture by Honda GE. Honda NL has offered the Dutch VFROC 3 VFRs for test rides during one of the two day weekend trips, no ticket to sunny Majorca though :pissed:

I got fridag latest nr of local bike mag, and it had a ride report of the new VFR1200. Looks werry promesing. The article writer says its a superbike for the street, tourgy engine whit lots of power, awesom brakes and handling (stiff suspension, even heavy its handling well and the kgs dont feel as mutch as on the scale.
The only oen that will not like it are thous the hoped fore somelike a FJR, a sporttuorer, the autur calls the VFR1200 a street sport!
