VFR1200 on the assembly line

I'm sure with all you guys hungry for anything 1200 related, this vid has been posted already but it was new to me.

Well, now. That was a GREAT find, thanks, Kel. If you don't mind, I'll post a link to that in the "Compendium" thread.

BUT....of even more interest was what I thought I saw at the 46 second mark of that video. I actually had to go back and look at it again, but it showed a VFR1200F with a CHAIN drive!!!!!

I wonder?????

It appears again in the 104 second mark. From the rear swing arm, its clearly not a VFR. Probably they have more than one bike on the line. Or 2 lines running close to each other!

Yeah, but if it's a chain drive version of the bike, then it WOULD have a different swingarm, wouldn't it? The rest of the bike looks the same. And the video goes to some length to specify that the VFR is built ona dedicated assembly line.

Look carefully--different frame too. Prolly just an editing mistake.

I'd love to see the paint line. I've seen factory lines from other makers and it seems like they were all pretty crowded and cramped. This line was quite open and non-rushed, this is where quality is born.

I think they did combine some shots of other bikes being made.

At the 36sec mark you can see it's a inline (4) engine in that frame.

Clearly the producers of the video aren't VFR nuts like most of us as he didnt mention that they build many bikes there and clearly the footage
has other bikes being built there... at 19 seconds the clip board shows CBR****rr :)
