I'm feeling really stupid here - in the process of removing clip-ons and replacing with Helibars on my 5th Gen. I've removed the bar end, two screws on the underside of the throttle/switch assembly, removed the clip-on from the fork and tried to slide it out of the throttle tube - all as set out in the shop manual. Nada. It feels like there is still a screw or locating pin holding the assembly to the bar, but I can't see anything other than the two screws alreadly removed. What am I missing??

There's a metal pin on the bottom of the assembly that mates with a small hole in the bar end and keeps the throttle tube from rotating when you twist it. Gently angle the throttle tube down on the inside (towards the switchgear) bottom of the bar end (relative to it's normal orientation) and you should have enough leeway with the screws removed and switch housing halves separated to slide the assembly off the bar-end.
