IF, in fact, ANY of that is true, I will almost guarantee you that they came up with the cylinder deactivation *not* to "extend the range", but to actually keep the same range as the 1200F. (because the airbag will make the tank EVEN SMALLER!) :biggrin:

Looks like an interesting replacement/hybrid for the VFR and ST1300. Makes a lot of sense - two birds with one stone.

Sounds like a really cool bike. Competition for the FJR and Concours?

I'll be interested to see it in full regalia - colour and in real life. I'd buy it over the 'F' model VFR.

Providing it's for real and it's not ugly and it's not break the bank expensive I would for sure buy the non DCT version over the F.

Still I like the new VFR1200F and wouldn't toss one out of the garage.

But that thing looks like they beat it with the ugly stick, set it on fire and then spray painted the results.

I wonder how much of all the new wiz bag gadgetry is on the bike an how much is programming in the PCM????

I bet within one year of the "T"'s debut there were be a ton of parts bin swapping to make custom vfr1200's that are mix of F and T models.

I just sold an '06 ST1300 to buy the VFR. The VFR1200T is it's replacement.

The bike you refer to is something that will never be sold here anyway. Probably a Europe only model as is everything else interesting coming out of the Big Three. ;-)

The current Motorcyclist Magazine has an article on the 1200T. They seem to think it will make it's debut this fall and they are saying it will most likely replace the ST1300.

I'm actually pretty satisfied with my 1200F.

Gonna be neat to see the T when it shows itself off.

Honda's really doing some neat things,and I give them

an A for effort. Rock on "Big Red"

I am not much of a tourer so the VFR1200T has no appeal to me since I already have a VFR1200F which is more motorcycle than I expected it to be.

Well if it comes out I will be buying it to sit next to my vtec :fing02: perfect match keep the vtec for scratching around town and the vfr T to take the missus on the longer trips, ooh and my annual 8000km round trip to phillip Island Gp :)

Saw this ST/VFR1200T shot this weekend on a GW site and it popped up on ST owners. I am talking the ST version as the Honda V4 1200 Adventure bike was on the showroom floor in November. Apparently the original came from a Spanish solomoto site but I can not find any details but ....even better looking then the MCN photo chops in 2010. Not sure this is new or a resurfacing from the depths. Happy New Year.

Not bad looking, if it's real, which I doubt. The bigger fairing looks nice, as does the larger, two-piece seat. But those bags look awful. They look even smaller than what's available now on the Veefalo.

Could be but..............nevertheless I like it better than MCN chop. Not much news on this MC .............maybe it is all speculation but it sure makes sense to use an engine across platforms like the BMW boxer 1200 or K bikes or even Kawasaki 1400 machines. When you look at the VFR, ST and Wing there is nothing in common from swing arms, drive chains to engines/transmissions. It is about time they leveraged some of that R&D across bike platforms.
