Front 240lbs / Rear 260lbs = Total 500lbs
That's ride ready, full of fuel,tank/tail bags, GPS, ect...
I kind of thought it would be a little heavy in the rear, (6th gen tail with stock gutted cans & 3rd gen wheel). What is the normal weight bias for a VFR?
It handles good (as far as I can tell). So I am not to worried about it. I just wanted to see what it weighted after all I have done, just wish I would have weighted it when it was stock.
(I know I could loose some weight with Carbon exhaust and mess with the stock 6th gen sub frame, but that will be a later and when I have some extra cash)
In case you didn't see it in my build thread, mine was 491 full wet (tank full to the brim, ready to ride). I had aftermarket pipes and 6gen wheel tho' which are lighter than your stock pipes and 3gen wheel but, of course, I also used different scales and I only weighed one end at a time.

FWIW
Doug,
Yep, I do remember that. (Thanks) I thought yours would be a little less than mine because of some of the things you used. (lighter front wheel, pipes and rear wheel)
Do you remember the weight front/rear?
Just go and find your nearest grain elevator or recyling center, they'll have a scale you can just drive up on and you won't be propping your bike up on two bathroom scales :fing02:

I love to weigh the cars there too!
That is a good idea, I will try that. But I was wanting to see what the weight was front to rear because of the mods I have done.
Anyone know the stock wight of 4th gen? and front to rear weight?
My 5G was about the same, 500lbs wet weight, about equal f to r. I used one bathroom scale, measured the front then the rear. (It does work, do the physics. :491: )
