I am looking to get back into the GIVI market with a Wing Rack 3 bag setup, and I can't remember if the Staintune High Mount fits with it.
I used to have a WR, but with the standard mount muffler.
I know Miguel had a GIVI setup and Staintune, but I don't recall which combo; Tubular Rack or Wing Rack, high or standard mount can...
Anyway, will it work for me?
If not: Cornercarver, How much for my muffler back? :beer:

Miguel had a highmount and a wingrack. He got it to fit with some tweeking and still had some rubbing. I have the same set up but was in willing to tweek it enough not to rub. If I take a long trip I put the stocker back on. For the daily commute I have a Kanadian Ken's solo rack.

I too have been contemplating side bags. I think I'd go with the tubes since I already have a top rack. And I'm in the same boat with my mig indy high mount.

hehe... there's no way I'm getting rid of the mig! My search for PL257 is coming up nil other than 'new'. And as you know, I'm a cheap bastige!

I'm running a high mount staintune with a wing rack (I think it's the wing rack 2). It did require some modifications, such as spacers and bending / flattening of the support that attaches to the passenger peg. I mostly run with the top case, so I haven't had any chance yet to use loaded side cases and determine if it's rubbing. So far so good though.

Hell, if I knew you were looking for one and wanted to see if it would fit I would have let you have mine for the weekend. I don't have a problem on mine, but it's only a 'mid' mount I guess. Do I need to go out and measure distance from the plate to the plastic or something?
Here are some pix of my installation of a Remus high mount can with a Givi WingRack #1.
The top supports are spaced out by about 1" using chromed towel rack tube over longer bolts, cut to size based on experiment using a roller cutter to get the ends square and slightly necked in. The front bottom stay needs spacing out to clear the can body and I used a T bracket with an arm cut off to make an L so the support is displaced sideways about an inch (it also clears my riding pal finger puppet on the peg!).
The top of the right side wing needs a spacer to connect to the plate of a 3-box setup - I used a heat sink from a Regulator/Rectifier left over from my old 750.
The rig as shown (E45 + 2xE21) carried 55 lb / 25Kg of camping stuff inside without any problems.

I once made a steel tube subframe to mount Krauser K2 luggage on my FL (as I couldn't wait for Krauser to come out with a mounting kit for the then-"new" VFR). Okay, I wasn't (and still am not) the world's niftiest welder, but I thought it was pretty strong. Not strong enough! Snapped somewhere in Spain after a few thouand miles, and had to get it re-welded locally. What am I getting at with this pointless anecdote about a different bike with a different luggage mounting system? Simply that I know what I used and the materials Steve's using don't even LOOK strudy enough to do the job required of a Wingrack suspended off the rear subframe of a VFR. The heat sink, for example, is probably made from the softest grade of alloy available, and I'm not so sure about the towel rail, either.
As a proof-of-concept, okay, but IMHO now is the time to switch to more suitable materials...

Fair enough, but in my defence I only use it on E21panniers. The alloy plate will be superseded - stainless wide and shallow U channel between the two wings under the plate seems appropriate.
The top plate now resides on a stainless 2mm channel that fully bridges between the side supports.
