As you may know, I am a police sergeant in Washington DC.

I was returning to where I work following a sepperate chase that ended in a police shootout in the next patrol district over. 2 of my officers come over the radio and explain that they were flagged down and told by a taxi driver that 2 guys on a motorcyle had just robbed them at gunpoint. I made a U turn and seconds later, here comes the bike, the 2 officers and the taxi. I get in behind the taxi and start hoping this ends well.

Mr robber GSXR operator really sucked at riding, so we were right on him when he thought it would be cool to use the sidewalk. It ended in tears when he fell over a few feet later. (apparantly sidewalk physics are different) A short foot chase later and one guy goes to jail and one gun recovered.

This is the first time in 20 years of service I ever chased a motorbike. But I wasnt thinking of this guys as a motorcyclist, just a crook using a bike to get away. He wasnt much of a motorcyclist anyway judging by his talents and his idea to steal a motorbike in the first place.

So everyone....be good. If you cant be good be careful.

I like the photo... coffee cup in hand, easy going appearance, dead prey on the sidewalk... just like a hunter posing with a trophy buck.

Damn what a waste of a nice machine that falls into the hands of someone that gives all other sport bike riders a bad name. Why couldn't he have stole a Harley.Geeez.. Well nice job timmy as yet the score again is mall rats zero and good guys +1. LOL

What would've been really amusing is if while arresting him you told him what was wrong with his riding....."You see where you went wrong is that you weren't looking through the corner, not to mention your body position is terrible." LOL Glad to hear you're alright and the baddies are where they should be.

Good work Timmy :fing02:
A white gixxer... Mmmmm... I do need a track bike. And a track :laughing6-hehe:
#9
There are some who call me... 'Tim'
#10
Yo you are the man - that is what Police do get the bad guys. Especially the bad guys who make bikers look bad by riding badly and being a criminal. Glad you are a cop who does the job. Be Safe!!!!!!!
#11
Nice work. No worries about chasing down a 2 wheeler when it's operated by a criminal- they deserve it too. Some deserve to be ticketed also. Keep after the bad guys Timmy, perhaps see you in May.

The really funny thing was the bike landed exactly in front of a very good friend of mine's bar. He comes out and says "Timmy, why did you put this bike here and why are you over here instead of where you work..." and "I've never seen you run before...."

I said "you got any coffee."

Ah, now it's just a Gixxer.

Nice work Tim. I bet you would have put your foot on the gixxer gun poised in the air like a hunter's trophy shot if no one was looking. Is that a Popeye's resteraunt in the background?
