Wondering if there's a way to have BOTH headlights on when low beam is selected. I have searched the forums and the electrical section - didn't see anything.
I've always thought that it looks like one light is burned out, and I'm not a believer in blinding others with my high beams constantly.

Unless Canadian models are different, both bulbs should be on with low beams. Have you checked the bulb?

Unless Canadian models are different, both bulbs should be on with low beams. Have you checked the bulb?
D'oh! Never thought of that - I assumed that it was a Canadian thing - you see a lot of twin headlight sportbikes with one side out. Thanks - I'll check it out - maybe when I'm replacing all my instrument lights with LED's. I'd imagine the front fairing has to come off, so I might as well do them all at the same time. All the US versions have both on, but I'm not sure if they had a Canadian version or not...
Maybe you could look at the wiring diagram and see if it's on there

If you find out yours was a Canadian model that had only one, what you do is. Run a lead to the other bulb, which should be an h4 with the other filament not hooked up, to your running light and presto two lights. With your second still using the other filament for the high beam. That is what I did to an FZ6 to make it all work so people stopped telling my friend he had a light out. :biggrin:

If you find out yours was a Canadian model that had only one, what you do is. Run a lead to the other bulb, which should be an h4 with the other filament not hooked up, to your running light and presto two lights. Great - thank you - it IS a Canadian model - I didn't think that many sport bikes could have one light out :) I wonder why they do that here - seems odd - you'd think the more light the better. Anyway - thank you for the advice! :fing02:

the canadian model is the exact same bike than u.s model,mine have both headlight on when low or high beam selected,
.

Sorry Dutchy, but for once, we at "Obamaland" have the cooler version of the bike.......headlights are always both on at low and high beams for US 4th gen VFRs :cheerleader: :fing02:

True, you get two really totally bitchin 45/45w retina roasters with the funky H4 bulb bases that don't fit anywhere else. Whereas the ROW can always wire-up the other headlight and use a second true 55/60w H4 with no bodgy, low quality hardware mods required... :happy:
