CB1000R coming to the states!

wonder if that back wheel will fit on my 04 800?

This is causing quite a stir on a naked-bike forum I am on.

I am happy to see Honda expand their line-up, but most people I've talked to assume Honda will price it as to make it D.O.A. I guess we'll see.

It's all subjective, but I've been put off by this bike aesthetically ever since it came out overseas. Personally I wouldn't buy a bike with those wheels or that headlight, and there are a smattering of "Decepticon" styling touches I can do without. But if that's the trend, more power to 'em. Meh.

I really miss the inline fours that made Honda famous. I'm happy to see a return of the naked I4's.

I agree, that thing is butt freaking ugly in my opinion.

I think it looks great. However, I will wait to see how large it is in person. Modern bikes are usually too small for my tastes...

Personally I love inline 4's (the VFR is the first non-I4 I've owned). But I just don't like the look. Headlight and mirrors all remind me a the B-King. And we all know how well that bike sold!!! LOL

According to a review I read, it only gets around 135 miles between fill ups. Kinda sucky.

Those horrendous wheels are a deal breaker for me.

They were so close, why did the short change the rear shock with no compression? They were so close

I think if I had to buy a bike, it would be between the R1 , the Kaw ninga 1000, and the Honda Cb 1000R
THe latter two, ive yet to see in person.


Luckily my 6th gen is stiill healthy

Specs list 180/55-17 tire, so I'd say it's a 5.5" rim. 4 lug, so I believe it would fit no problem.
Buy one and I'll trade wheels with ya! :fing02:

I am 6' 3" and it fits me well, a friend of mine who has one is 6'5" and he loves it. I guess it is similar in size as the Triumph Speed Tripple. I've ridden both and these short wheelbased naked bikes are a lot of fun, the honda having a smoother throttle response the Triple having the better sound (although a bit too loud for my taste).

The rear wheel bolt pattern is 4x100mm, but I do not know if the wheel offset is also the same as that of a VFR rear wheel.
