Y2K E-marked non OEM Mirrors

These mirrors are on ebay ATM. They claim to be high quality, E-marked, ISO factory etc but at that pice they have to be rubbish right? Just hoping someone has tried them and can report. So far I have learned that there are exactly zero y2k aftermarket mirrors that are worth buying but I remain ever hopeful!

I got some EMGO mirrors for my '99 after the wreck, and they are fine. Solid and good visibility.

Bolts are getting a touch of rust on them, so the finish on the bolts is kinda weak, but I'll spray some gloss black in a cap and dip a Q-tip in and swab the heads of the allen bolts to keep them covered and pretty, that should fix it.

This ads says 02+... are they all the same size?

Rob, I've looked at emgo before, but couldn't find the 00-01 stems???

Would RC51 fit?

If it is for a '94, then you would need 2000-2001 mirrors. VTEC ones won't fit.

No, spacing is too narrow.

I checked those and as always ATM they want more for freight than the item is worth! Puts my cost near the $200 mark and I figure I could get OEM for that. US freight costs are nothing short of ludicrous!

They would work fine for all VFRs - 4th Gen is 50mm and 6th Gen is less than that.

The add does tend to used the term "High Quality" a lot...

However, the factor that may piss you off could be the shipping time. I got a set of mirrors for the fender of my old Civic and it took close to eight weeks.

Feel free to write the guy a lot. Everyone in Honkers speaks pretty darn good english.

As for my mirrors, I got what I paid for.

And that is about the best advise there is.

Good to know Muz... I'd like to know more about where the stem mounts the plate on the bike.
Looks to be some ball-and-socket that you tighten down... which is off putting.
I like the 01 mirror design where if you do happen to catch the mirror it just rotates on the pivot.

I've sent them an email... what's the bet I get "Stealth" like shipping quotes.
I am guessing they are a new company.

I don't mind the wait time... just now I recieved a Fedex 15kg from the UK, which took 5 days.... man, that's brought a smile back.

The mirrors are $100US, kinda overlooked that :mellow: ... when I think of the combined postage, I'm probably better off knocking the stockers around for another few years.
