That's nice, looks like professional job! I have seen magazines with lower quality of work in them

I once found a forum selling tees with couple of my pictures on it, contacted them about it just to get one, never heard back... perhaps they were worried about royalties :)

Yeah. I was actually waiting to hear something about "they stole my design and used it in some project/product" note. But that's kind of cool that they just picked to do a chop of your bike. Looks pretty good too.

I have had your RVF1000R as a screen-saver since you posted it here...

This has got to be one of the most perfectly updated bikes I have ever seen - extremely well proportioned.

Considering that the VF1000R has typically 80's massive and bulbous front and rear fairings, your update has managed to keep the original front and somehow simultaneously
tighten up and slimming down the rear just enough (still keeping a balance) to make the whole bike sleeker and more modern - excellent.

It is also remarkable how the curvature of the front fairing frontal opening matches the tank and rear fairing lower curvatures - not obvious at first - but I believe
this completes the look and drags all components of the bike together to one united shape - brilliant.

Also congratulations on the colour scheme - very classy looking - especially the dark blue contrasting with the white - again superb.

I have been thinking about rebuilding an 80's Honda - if I start out I can only hope to make it as good as yours - it cannot be bettered...

Those are very kind words. You have an eye similar to mine. The stance did come out better than I had hoped. The rear of the R never went with the front IMO. Oddly, it took the larger RC45 tail to slim down the front? The RC tail is very curvy and has a classic shape. Difficult to stripe but easy on the eye! I think the combination of adding different pieces, contrasting, bold colors and dissecting lines helped shave a few pounds off, visually at least. I'm pleased you liked it.

I hope you find a fun project soon and post every step.
