It wouldn't surprise me if this question is already answered, but I've searched a lot and haven't found it.
Has anyone on here done an under tail exhaust keeping the headers fully stock all the way to the flare connection? I'd like to maintain the ability to have that fairly quick release ability and not have to do a ton of fab work besides a custom mid-pipe.
I have a 07 CBR1000RR just like this one: [image: Posted Image]
I'll also be using the CBR1000RR subframe and such... but that's probably another post.
Thanks!!

I believe it is a matter of finding the right exhaust shop. I was almost ready to give up on my undertail (I used TBR headers) because most exhaust shops would not work with me. I found a shop that built me the midpipe and I did not have to modify the TBR headers and the price was very reasonable.
I might just be a matter of finding the right place to do the work.
Thanks for the help guys! I will update when I get it all figured out.
I did find this post:

But he cut the flare connection off and welded it up. [image: Posted Image]
We have "Fenderectomy", De-snorkeling, De-dumboing in our VFR lingo.........what do we call this one?
An exhaust flare circumcision??!......Owwie!...It hurts just looking at that pic!
