distance between cat and rear shock mount

having an odd issue with the centerstand, either its bent or the exhaust is bent....

Can anyone confrim about roughly how much space there is between the cataylitic converter and the shock mount (3 point mount thingy).

I am not seeing any daylight when its on the centerstand and suspect that the cat/exhaust has been shifted upwards, which in turn shifts the centerstand stopper on the left side of the exhaust pipe to ride high...which in turn brings the right side of the centerstand very very tight to the chain...

if anyone has a photo of that area, would be awesome, i cant seem to find anything in the manual or online....

yes thanks! seems mine is very tight to the shock mount in comparison....appreciate the photos...

thinking maybe a wooden wedge and a couple of heat cycles to bend it back down?

Id' find out what is wrong, before trying to correct it. Maybe the plates on the lower suspension linkage aren't installed in the proper orientation, or maybe the header or exhaust mount isn't quite right. You don't want to create another problem...

Has someone shimmed the upper shock mount in the frame? That will drop the lower mount so the dogbone is closer to the exhaust.

My Penske is 5mm longer than stock and it is still very far from any part of the exhaust at the bottom (see pics), FYI.

Here is what I have going on. I do think its the exhaust that has shifted.

I first suspected the center stand, but after looking at photos, determined it my stand was retracting too much, it went beyond horizontal and  was riding up becuase the stopper on the exhaust was not in the right place.

I have checked the shock and there are no spacers on the rear shock mount. The triangle mount at the bottom looks about the same as in the shop manual....

Just took a look at mine, very tight fit but not rubbing on each other.
Nothing is bent/pushed up. I do have my 929 shock slightly longer than stock.

If thats the norm when the bike is on the center stand then I still have an odd issue with the stand riding too high up when retracted. Think i am just going to shim the stopper on the exhaust so that  the stand arms rides about level and move on to bigger issues....

When i got my bike, the cat had been hit from the bottom and pushed up "into" the bottom of the linkage.  I pried it back down, then proceeded to roll over a giant speed bump and am back to square 1.
