Hey all, i'm new to the site and just picked up a '93 VFR750F. It's been wrecked a number of times and it's finally found its way into the hands of someone willing to give it the TLC that it deserves.
The engine runs really strong and it's functionally sound. Cosmetically, it needs some serious help.
Previous owner turned it naked. It was pearl white. So, cracked pearl white tail fairings, banged up gas tank, cracked belly fairing, no front fairings, instrument cluster....gone, and some aftermarket streetfighter headlights (soon to go).
On the list of things to do, i really like the idea of an underseat routed exhaust. I've seen a number of VFR rebuilds integrate them, but i want to get all of the facts straight before i tear the bike apart. I'm trying to minimize surprises and downtime.
Can anyone give me some advice on types of sub-frame assemblies that are commonly used? How do you typically match the existing seat or new seat to the gas tank?
Thanks ahead of time
