On what to do with a ton of leftover oem fork springs? I don't know why I keep saving them... Customers never want them back after I get done with their upgrades.

Turn them in for scrap metal?

Use my welders to turn them into weird lawn art?

Open a (second) side business making pogo sticks?

Or just toss them in the trash bin?

Make some weird projects with them? A catapult with other scrap metal you have laying around?

Have you tried ebay just to see if there is any interest? I think turning them in for scrap metal (and $) would probably be best if no one wants them at all.

Scrap metal recycles them and gets you a few dollars.  Enough to cover the cost of the gas to the scrap yard. :)

Pretty much this. We don't bother returning any special chips (aluminum, stainless, ...) to the scrapyard until we have at least 3 55 gallon drums full. Otherwise it ends up costing more in time than we get for it.

I'd say keep em until you find something interesting to make out of them.

I vote for lawn ornaments.

Sell a low mileage pair from a 5th GEN to me.

Seriously, they are a match for the 929 shock w/stock spring I'm going to install. Let me know.

Thanks.

Lawn art. :fing02:

But only if you come up with something cool. I think you'll need to be both artsy and fartsy.
Not just the latter. :goofy:

I definitely have a set. Let me dig them out and get back to you. Shoot me a PM with a lowball offer. ;-)

Couple more possible uses...

Spring upgrade for rear shocks on mini bikes/mopeds?

Super size model of a retractable ballpoint pen?

A spring loaded cannon to shoot bowling balls, or humans

fit them to your shoes..."pogo-shoes"

Some latte swilling artsy type would probably love to get their hands on them for a lawn ornament. ( oops, I ment a lawn sculpture ) You coulees try to see if an nearby college art department ( or high school ) could use them. Ride safe, Dave

Giant "cat tails"  use re-bar as stems and weld the springs to the top, then bind them all loosley and the base and plant them in the yard.  Would sway nicley in the breeze too.
