This thread is hopefully a more organized offshoot of the thread that gave birth to it http://www.vfrdiscus...-bay-area-ride/

Yayyy I started something! Haha. I think the route and start time are perfect. I can go through and start PMing people. I can take A-J if someone else wants to do the rest.

As for planned stops, I know nothing about the area but a few stops along the way for rests and photo ops would be nice.

I honestly won't know for 100% sure until the Thursday before (when my work schedule comes out) but you can put me down for like a 90% sure I'll make it.

You can also as Blacksamurai under the next time. Just talked to him via PM

Junction Cafe is on the Google map as a placemark with the address, website and photo.  Any other placemarks/rest stops I should add?
#8
I'd love to, but I'm starting a 3.5k trip this weekend and by that time I'll be far away (in Boulder, CO). Have fun though and maybe next time ;-)

Alright people. So I just went a little PM crazy. I went through everyone who has been active within the last 2 months and sent out 51 PMs. I skipped the people I recognized from this thread and the other. but otherwise, hopefully we will get a few more responses.

It looks like a great route and I really do commend you guys for sparking this in our area. There are a lot of riders in our larger Norcal area. So it's good to see the group ride getting organized. I'll be away over the weekend and cannot join - and I am bummed about that. I know the ride will turn out great so maybe that will create some momentum to do group rides more often. Ernie

I definitely hope that will be the case. Since it looks like there is a decent amount of interest, i dont think this will be the last meetup. Hopefully we can keep it going and get more people together as we go!

I don't think I can make this one wife's birthday and she wants a party . But my bikes  ready for some rides this summer.

#13
I'll have to fall under the "non-commital types" but I should be able to be there.  I'm leaving on a 2 week trip 3 days later, but why not come out and check out some local VFRs?

Youll have to go on a ride and make sure everything is in working order right? haha
#15

#16

#18
If it makes any difference to you Sac guys.

Ohh that would be awesome! That should be done before June 25th. Haha. Because that's when I leave for Vancouver.
#21
I realized that I'm working that day, can't go.
#22
If I can find and fix my coolant leak in time, I'm in.
#23
That's right, you bastards, I can't be there on Saturday (yes, bastards, every one!). I fly in from Florida late Saturday night.

I am definitely going for some type of ride on Sunday, the 27th, though. Anybody that can't hit the epic 26th ride want to join me?

Ok...ok...kidding on the bastards thing.  :-)

Yea that route is too far from home for me, i'd be mega sore when I get home. I appreciate the invite though. Any North Bay runs im up for....

fyi, I'm riden up hiway 1 to Klamath Ca. Sunday to get HD timelapse of the Annular Eclipse from center line, and a new photo of my bike with the Ring of Fire in the back ground if anyone else wants to come along ? I post video to youtube.

! Come on down! Lets have a Norcal VFR meetup!

I'm in for this ride. I'm missing a lower fairing bolt but the fairing hasn't come off in the last 500 miles so I should be good to go.

Great! Lower fairing bolts are overrated anyways. Haha

It's the latest rage in mass de-centralization. I will probably take off the bolt on the opposite side to further reduce weight and ensure even tire wear.
