My '93 750 is starting to show signs of fork spring/old oil stress.
The handlebars shake and rattle over just about every bump and the front end dives more than it should when coming to a slightly aggressive stop.
I bought the bike with 40k on the odometer and I'm really not sure if a fork service has ever been done on this bike (the condition it was in [trashed] when I bought it would indicate not).
I want to do a full fork service but I'm not sure if replacing the springs is really neccissary unless they don't measure to spec.
I only weigh 165lbs and I ride semi-aggressive and I think the stock springs should be adequate for my size but I'm not 100% sure.
I checked with sonic springs and their prices are fair. I could afford new springs but I don't know if I should go with progressive or single rate springs should I end up swapping them.
Does anyone with my weight/riding style have any experience with either of those types of spring and what weight/brand oil are you happy with?
Thanks!
