I purchased a 2000 Honda VFR with 6400 miles back in July.The previous owner let the bike sit in the garage. When I purchased this back in july it needed brakes and right fork seal was busted. After spending 6 week I have done all below services:
1) Engine Oil Changed.
2) Clutch Oil Changes.
3) Front & Rear Brake Pad - Ferodo
3) Front & Rear Brake Oil Replaced.
4) Fork seal and Dust seal replaced.
5) New Air Filter.
6) Coolant Drained and replaced.
7) Replaced front and rear tires.
8) Chain adjusted.
In addition to service
Replaced stock lever with CNC adjustable Lever.
DanMoto o2 senor eliminator.
Replaced Cheap D&D pipe with 2 brother high mount carbon exhaust.
you can luck out and get some good asian kits. cheaper than painting that scene on your current body.
we will need a report on the quality for sure.

Ask the members that have used the China fairing how they installed them so it will go nice smooth. On my TL forum we have several members that have done CHina plastics and all have had good results. Installing and using different heat shields were the only issues.
I would recommend getting a fairing bolt kit off Ebay. It has a lot of plastic washers, rubberized mounting nuts and some new plastic rivets. You will need a drill, Drimmel tool, utility knife and a lot of patience. Make sure everything fits. Usually best to get all bolts started then tighten them down. As per Ebay you only have 45 day to file complaint. After you wait 30 days to get fairing kit. You will have about 15 days to make sure it all works.
One question. Are you going to paint the gas tank?

black wheels, yellow tank, and Repsol fairings.... thats going to be a mix & match. i saw that you were thinking about powder coating the rims, why not throw the tank in there too?? :huh:

So with only 6400 miles, and one of the rarer 5th gen colors, why swap the bodywork?
Agreed I still love the bike stock color, But had an idea and wanted to see how it would play out.. Till i don't get a spare tank and repaint it to match No color images.
Yes, I am interested in how the plastics turned out. Decent quality? How bad was it to install everything? Might be something I'll look into in the future as I am personally not a fan of red, yet ride a red VFR :huh: Also, where did you get the kit? If on ebay, mind posting up the seller so I can check them out?
