Finally finished off this 99 VFR build. It was going to be another members track bike project way back in 06, but he found a better subject an RC45 so I snagged this one earlier this summer.
I had the tank and seat cowl painted locally to match the new bodywork(Chinese).

Got it done last weekend and took it out for a Breakfast Run to Puckets

Feels great other than the 7 year old 204's which sucked when new.

I now have 4 VFR's, two 5th gens and two 6th gens, planning to put this one up on the blocks so I can start my 04 VFRT (not turbo) project. :tour:

Mechanically/component-wise she looks all stock (except for muffler). Would you confirm that?

And... what is a VFRT??

How was the fit of the Chinese plastics?

Finish is pretty good, fit is decent depending on the piece. Some alignment and mounting hole mods needed, pin tabs are unsupported. Good budget option.

I was able to see the bike last week. It really looks good and I couldn't tell they were Chinese plastics until BR mentioned it.

The only fit issue I could see was in the plastic surrounding the instrument panel and I have seen worse with Honda plastic on bikes
that have had their brackets tweaked from a fall. Paint really looks good.
