When I buy my VFR, there was only 1 low beam working and no one on high beam.
So I've change my bulb and I still didn't have high beam working...
One connector was changed and was a bit melted. The other one is having a bit of verdigri on it.
I check the fuse and the relay, they are working well. Also, when I put it on high beam, the blue light in the dashboard did not open...
Anyone have an idea of what could be the problem?
I haven't had the issue myself, but have read a number of times that the switch itself may be bad.
If you have the means to do continuity testing of the switch, I would start there.
open the switch and spray with contact cleaner,then spray with acf50 or similar, worked on mine, it's like a new switch now.
I had a similar problem on mine, the low beam on the left light didn't work, so I replaced it. Then it did it again a few weeks later, so I bought another bulb, from the local gas station, so it was expensive. Then after throwing away the old bulb, the light failed again, and I discovered the plug was a bit dodgy, so fixed it. So... I'm pretty sure both new bulbs were unnecessary. Pays not to jump to obvious answers, huh?

yes I'd start with a multimeter at the bulb sockets, then back to the relays, then back to the switches.
I had a random both low-beam blow out a few years ago, couldn't find the cause, and had no issues since.

It was not exactly that, but it help me found the trouble.
In the button, there is a small spring that keep a little copper piece which make the contact, to the different cable. This small spring was not enough strong to keep the contact. I just add a small rock (it was the only thing I add around me!)
So this was the way I resolve my problem.
:-) I can now go and rode at night!
