I´m sitting here and wounder what all colors the first VFR´s (not VF) had as stock.
Obiusly US got the RWB for the 86-87 modells

And also the pearl WHITE was a common color

That RWB was an eye grabber. The Pearl was way too pretty for me.
Always like the RWB. Always notice when one was parked in a parking lot, people would be standing around it.
Comments like must be a special edition, race bike or body and paint guy must own it .
Note the blue with white wheels doesn't have the silver part on the tank & side covers. I have always believed this to be a European color scheme. Steve Fischer on the Yahoo early VFR list has one that he says is a US spec bike with original paint (or was original, at the time, 20+ years ago - pretty sure there's not a single original part left on it now) but it's the only one I've ever heard of in the US.
Aside from Steve's bike, we got the RWB in 86, the white in 86-87 and the blue/silver in 87. Those were our only choices in the US.
Mine is blue/silver. I'm partial to that paint job. It's unique and subtle yet distinctive. The blue has a purple clear over it. The RWB is iconic. I was in love with the pearl white when new, but I'm not into it any more.
Color-Rite sells the blue and the tinted clear for ~$135 per pint (quart?). A can of each was included with my bike when my GF originally got it in ~93. It's 20 years past its shelf life and I'm going to use House of Kolor to get as close as I can for a whole lot less money. Eventually....
I do like the silver you had, Keny. OTOH, that black with blue with gold wheels and gold & red graphics is just a mess. Sorry to offend the fans of that scheme....
Around 94-96 I had a 92 VFR in the blackish color; trying to remember what they called it. Starlight black? That's my favorite of the 2nd-gen VFR colors. It had green, blue and purple highlights in certain light.

Well its plan black, just the pic that make some look dark blue. here a other pic, and I can say it look better for real than on the pics.

And the color is called Metallic Black.
I have also found the red and black -88-89 whit silver wheels and trim instead of white on the red and gold on the black.
But didn´t find pics of it just now.
But I did find a pic of my old -87 from a sales add from this spring. Man I still have chances to buy it back, perhaps........

In the UK for 86 we had the FG in plain metallic dark blue with white wheels and the pearl white model. 87 the silver FH was introduced with subtly different exhausts and wiring. 88 - 89 we had the FJ & FK in Red, white and black models. Mine is an 86 number 213 in dark blue.
When new, I still have it and wish it still looked like this

But was it USA only? Plenty of RWB first gens here too, but those can be imported as a lot of US bikes were imported in those years because of favourable exchange rates.

Well as I been looking at severl pics on the net of VFR750F from 1986-89, and then I found some whit nice flush turn signals on the faring, more same looking lik in this pic:

Then I noticed the sticker on the top faring says "Cam gear train", not the usual "Gear driven cams V4"

Yes, flush indicators were Japanese market models, also notice they had different exhausts to the UK/European 86/87 VFR's
