There was a odd sound in the engine. Tell me what it may be, the valve? Or do not need to worry? vfr800 1998

Confused clatter on the left side. He is in the normal range?
Is it a new sound or has it always made this sound? Any maintenance or work done?
This bike I did not so long ago(I drove it about 6000 miles), was already with a sound.
Just listened to video... sounds normal for the drive gears for the cams on that side of the engine. Does it whine when you rev the engine? Any clatter our mechanical metal on metal sounds?
When i rev the engine strongly, I don't hear this sound, because the sound kills the engine it. I recorded video, when i rev the engine a little. Maybe it's the injector?

Almost sounds like an exhaust leak from the head?
No, I would not say so.
It's like hitting a wrench on the engine
Valve chatter in the normal range?
I hear cam gear whine (normal) and valve chatter.
That was the only thought I had...Almost sounds like an exhaust leak from the head?
My laptop speakers are not so great so I may be missing something but does the sound go away when you pull in the clutch?

Kimball right try pulling in the clutch lever and see if the sound changes. Could be a crack clutch basket .
The sound doesn't go away when i pull in the clutch.
faulty clutch micro switch caused the airbox flapper to bounce open and closed erratically. at first it was only while in gear than later on it made no difference.
removed it and cleaned the contacts through the window on the bar side of the switch with jewelers file then sprayed clean with contact cleaner.
noise went away.
Maybe the same has happened to you
In the first video I thought I heard the telltale ticking of a tight valve, but it is hard to tell. When was the last valve adjustment done?
Ciao,
I recently purchased this bike. Valve adjustment is not made.
In that case, if it were my bike I would check the valve clearances and make sure everything is within specification. You may need to order some valve shims, which can take time to get from Honda. Good luck!
Ciao,
You need a mechanics stethoscope to pin point where the sound is coming from. That said it sounds pretty normal to me.
