Hello all.
Our 3rd Gen has succumbed to the old rec/reg failure. It just ran out of electricity having ceased charging. The battery is toast, but nothing else was damaged.
Has anyone had any luck with the plug and play cheapo units from eBay such as this?
Been running them for years and there cheap enough that I keep a spare in the tank bag for when it takes a cr*p
You can't expect much for $15. My concern with it would be its accuracy - if it overcharges it can ruin the battery or fry other components / connectors.
R/Rs -- you get what you pay for. IMHO - buying cheap R/Rs and knowing they will be throw aways is nutz. You couldnt pay me to run that ebay one.
The part is legit , I can not speak for the seller . It is commonly use R\R. It is a great price .
