- 94 vfr750 , northern VA As the title states, gen 4, 477xx miles. Good michelins, carbs just done, plugs, oil, filter, 2ndary air filter. Clean bike. Bought from second owner who had it for 20 years. Has upgraded RR, but not vfrness. Charging…
- Just picked up a mint RC36 tonight and something went wrong on the way home Well, welcome and you are fortunate. These bikes have their quirks, but are the best ever made in many people opinions. There are things you will learn. Replace the plugs, oil and filter, air filter, and sub air filter…
- New owner - a couple of kinks. No, no missing connection. That's your fuel pump line to the carbs. Remove the inserted brown portion of the t coupling and verify that there is a clamp on the hose. It more than likely won't leak, but better safe than…
- New owner - a couple of kinks. yes, the terd gen wheels are nice....I've got a few more coming my way....hehe. the web is a wonderful thing.....The bike in my pic is Charlotte, she's long gone. I have Scarlet now, but maybe for not much longer. I…
- New owner - a couple of kinks. btw, I just posted a set of 4th gen carbs that are in FAR superior shape than yours and only need a cursory going over....100, and shipping to Canada
- New owner - a couple of kinks. They're not that bad honestly. You don't need float needles. All you need to do is to get the portion of the float needle that moves the float free. Most of the time this can be accomplished with pb blaster and a small…
- VFR 800 front wheel on a 4th gen ??? I'm virtually positive that the front end needs to be changed out. I know for a fact it won't work from a 3rd to 4th gen. Clearances are different and I'm nearly certain the same is true for a 4th to 5th gen.
- Reg/Rec caught on fire... My dad had this same thing happen on his Maxim x. I can't believe this happened. Such a gorgeous bike too. I MIGHT have some tail pieces for a little bit of nothing and shipping. PM me.
- Opinions on D&D exhaust? too loud imo
- Replace '97 with a '01???? Had ONE 5th gen....HATED every stinkin minute on it. I'll never buy anything other than a fourth to ride and thirds to rebuild
- Just picked up a 93 vfr750f I hate when people do that to bikes, of course, you know that a sticker is worth a hp!
- Just picked up a 93 vfr750f put that thing in the sun and do it a favor and peel those hideous stickers off with your finger nails....lol
- My RC30 awesome!
- New Member / New Bike (93) ewwww, I hate you! no, really, gorgeous bike. I'm so envious. I've wanted a 93 for so long! Nice find. You'll find any and all answers here on this board, welcome!
- 97 Vfr 750 To "vfcbr" Conversion (929Rr Forks / 600Rr Body) I miss Palomar......
- Tale of 2 Bikes NISxMO, 4/17/2017 at 8:14 PM Wow! Two beautiful machines! The 955i definitely made it a tough decision but where as that bike had changed hands multiple times I'm sure, something about a single owner fourth gen (that I…
- 95 VFR carb questions one tip I can offer here is this; with the carbs off, take a q tip and dip it in a tiny bit of quality metal polish. Put the polished tipped q tip in the needle seat and spin it by hand or hook it up to a drill and…
- 3rd Gen rims on a 4th Gen yes, yes, yes
- 4Th Gen Hesitation At 4K is it jetted? Notched needles? If it is, this is your issue. That rev range in needle territory. Either drop the clip one on the needle, or raise it.
- Brake Pads ebc
- 97 Vfr Right Side Gauges Not Functioning thanks, it's the printed circuit on the back, of course I got the whole upper together after a fairing stay swap to notice it....ugh
- 97 Vfr Right Side Gauges Not Functioning It's really the right side everything, lights etc. I think it's because the PO cut on accident, the printed circuits. and of course me dropping the fuel/temp gauge on reassembly didn't help. Does anyone have a spare…
- 3Rd Gen - Cheapo Ebay Rec/regs I agree, oem/ricks only. buy two, be safe and know it's money well spent
- Junkyard Must Go timmy, 4th gen stuff? You were the one I heard about on the news? No chit!!
- Got Busy Yesterday been using auto coolant forever
- New To Me 97 Vfr750 The pair removal is easy. Find the tubes off the front and rear of the engine, disconnect them with a 10mm socket. Pull the tank, find the front two hoses. Either plug the airbox holes, or carefully put a cap over the…
- New To Me 97 Vfr750 *sarcasm* doesn't translate well in text, :)
- New To Me 97 Vfr750 no, no lurking, gen 4 fairings are all over the place!!
- Are 92 Vfr Headlight Same As 94-97? I've swapped with no issue. Part numbers may be different, but they work on both bikes. It's like a maxim and maxim x exhaust. Different part numbers SAME part THEY WILL FIT! I'VE DONE IT 2X! FROM A 3RD TO FOURTH AND…
- The "egg On Your Face" Thread Fourth gens....Bike is on the verge of overheating...why won't the fan come on? Test fan, good, test connections, good, clean grounds, good....check fuse, good...it's the NEXT fuse in line, not the one above it and yes,…
- My New '96 what is the name of the sticker company on the East coast that did packages for bikes? On the tip of my tongue. They were going to do my F4 and put it in their catalog.
- My New '96 I think I saw her on CL....
- No go at all nothing You won't hear the fuel pump come on like in the newer bikes. You will have a hard time hearing it hum when the bike is running from 6 inches away. Like the others said, get a battery in there at full charge first and…
- Aftermarket fairing kits KLR, if that's a Dunlop on the front of your bike, I believe it was mounted backwards.
- Aftermarket fairing kits I've heard good things about nice cycle
- Rc36 750 Carb Issue? (Vid Inside) if your diaphragms were junk, you'd know it. Those you have are not. It would appear to me that the needle is stuck on the one carb and nothing more. Like it was mentioned, take a screw driver and gently push the slide…
- 'the Works' Tank Treatment, Really Works Wanted to let you guys/gals know that 'The Works' toilet bowl cleaner DOES work for cleaning out tanks, rusted, grimey, etc. I've done three tanks (and so have some other forum members) now and was skeptical at best.…
- Acetone To Weld Body Panels? there is a right mid (red) on flebay right now
- New 97 Vfr Owner, Getting Hot While Idling? check to see how much anti freeze is in the system as well.
- Virginia Ride: Saturday, July 26, 2014 I can't do it this time, I have to work. Sunday's are best for me and CHO is too far to ride in one day
- 1997 Vfr Charging Problem check this post too http://www.vfrdiscus...d-stud-removal/
- First Motorcycle I can't wait to transfer everything in my name and get to riding! I will be getting a set of tires for it as well. I was surprised how cheap they were. $225 for a set is not bad really. As far as the grass goes, yeah it…
- Front end conversion - was yours worth it ?? EVERY single time I try to improve the performance of the front of my 4th gen, I regret it. For me, it just isn't worth it. I had an F4 front end on my last 4th gen, but other than the brakes, I hated it. Of course I…
- 5Th Gen Mileage you bring up some very solid points, and I have Charlotte to ride
- 5Th Gen Mileage yes, I can get it registered. VA DMV takes the title through their headquarters and verifies everything. I have pics of the title etc and all appears in order. Spoke to the DMV today on it. I had an issue with a 92 last…
- 5Th Gen Mileage she runs and rides apparently. Needs tires and chain and sprockets. Title was issued 5 years ago. Owner has no idea why it was salvaged. so, that said, what is a fair price?
- 5Th Gen Mileage sooo, is the price right at 750 w/a salvage and a 1.5 hour drive?
- 5Th Gen Mileage I own a fourth gen in my avatar, Charlotte. I'm not looking to do anything with her. For you 5th gen owners, what mileage is TOO much for you to look at another bike? I know, the purchase price is food for thought.…
- Is It Worth 500 Bucks? Here is one that I just had on a 3rd gen I just sold. Bike sat for weeks before I had time to get back to it. Ran fine before I 'parked' it. Started it up and number 3 just wouldn't fire. I could rev it and hear #3 come…
