It's really the right side everything, lights etc. I think it's because the PO cut on accident, the printed circuits. and of course me dropping the fuel/temp gauge on reassembly didn't help.

I have a spare parts panel, but the flex has one repair already. The flex can be repaired by carefully removing the plastic coating on both sides of the open trace and soldering a piece of wire across the two. Use a low wattage soldering iron, not a soldering gun or the flex will melt.
It is worth a shot, got nothing to lose in trying to repair it. If it does not work, then contact me about the spare flex.

you already stated that.. and yes it can be soldered. just scrape off the outer plastic on the circuit and solder some wire over the crack. presto youre done! add some paint if you wish. :beer:
Okay I am just confused now; yes it is the printed circuit on the back....this is what I call a flex circuit. Try doing the repair as we have suggested. If that does not work I do have a spare flex circuit, which has already been repaired once by someone else, so it is not "perfect". Just send me an email and we can exchange details if the repair does not work for you.
Be sure to find-out why the trace opened....if something is shorted and drawing alot of current, then the flex trace will just open again.
