The rear from my 91 that I had in England last year is finally on my bike here in Maine.
The front is awaiting some bearings and rotors. The rim on the right is a 16" off a CBR900RR. I bought it for my VF1000R but haven't gotten around to doing everything to make it work. Out of curiosity I mounted it on the VFR and it only needs some different spacers to line up. Although I've only got about 20 miles on the new 180/55, I can tell the bike turns in slower than with the 170. If I can't get my head around the new handling I might do the calculations on the rake and trail and try the 16" on the front.
One thing you might want to consider, if you haven't already is tire availability for a 16 inch rim. If you were to raise the forks in the triple clams a little, that'll quicken up your steering. Looks good with the 8 spoke out back!
Does that mean she'll be a trans-gendered VFR, or will that just require a name chage to the politically incorrect "whiteslut"? My VFR is waaaaay beyond all that!
Looking good! Yes, pull the forks through the triples up to an inch, also throw a few thick washers under the rear shock mount to bring up the rear. Don't put too many in though, else the top shock mount will rotate.
