Last 50 of 109- Lithium Ion Battery 20 hours ago, JZH Which ones are LifePo4? Ciao, JZH Been using this one for a year since I rebuilt my charging system. Works great [image: 20191011_170055.jpg]
- Replaced Front sprocket And now speedometer read slow Good to know they didn't charge you for the part. It was an error on the mechanics part though and totally preventable. Maybe he was having a bad day...it happens. If it worked when you went in it didn't go bad on its…
- Replaced Front sprocket And now speedometer read slow Happens all the time with inexperienced mechanics. Did it myself once, not gonna lie.lol They didn't need a new part likely, the plastic nut will slide on the shaft. Hopefully the dealer wasn't giving you the shaft!…
- Gear Neutral Issue What bike are you asking about? I don't think those are vfr part numbers. If you are talking about a vfr, change the oil and see if that makes any difference before bending over for a dealer. sorry my mistake. I see now…
- Help with Potential 5G VFR Purchase Both are very nice. As said by others, don't be afraid of a little mileage. The exhaust is a Chinese danmoto I believe.
- Help with Potential 5G VFR Purchase If you are happy with the price, buy it! You are basically getting one of the best generations of vfr , In my opinion. Since it has sat a lot you should count on changing all the fluids. Unless the seller can prove the…
- Burning up? Is something nesting in the "V" of the engine?
- 5th gen voltage readings seem normal? Contact statorkev.com here in Ontario ( Georgetown) He will rewind your stock stator for about half the cost of new. He did a great job for me no problems a year later. Then go to Roadstercycle.com and order either the…
- What did you do to your VFR Today? VFR4Lee, 5/28/2019 at 9:08 PM Chain wax seems to attract quite a bit less grime than the oily stuff. 😉 Wait until you have to clean around the front sprocket some day. Not fun, nothing seems to dissolve that stuff.
- FH020AA Install Location on 3Rd Gen Just having put one on my fifth gen in the stock position, looking at my third gen I would do the same. I mounted it with the fins vertical and the wires facing forward.
- You want to know how much an OEM stator in Canada is: My dealer told me the 5th gen is discontinued so I found someone local that rewinds for $ 250. ( Georgetown, Ont) https://www.statorkev.com/ He was easy to deal with and did a nice job. I did a lot of reading and the…
- My 399 lb VFR848 You already had the nicest 5th gen around, now you just suck :) Beautiful work!
- FallRide Pics Like! Like! Like! More please :) Looks like you all had a great time. Really wish I could have been there.
- My RC30 Where's the single sided swing arm? Do you have to counter steer???
- VF400F resto-mod My first bike was a cbx 550 , also somewhat rare, and I can attest that the brakes sucked but I didn't know any better. It had the same wheels and three inboard ventilated disk brakes, each one cast iron and weighed…
- New Owner Welcome! I'm sure I'm not the only one who is jealous of your new location. If you are in NC around the memorial day weekend be sure to check out the meet held in Franklin ( formerly called T-Mac).
- coolant hoses My 2000 has most of its original hoses and they are fine. I say most because the two one inch hoses from the thermostat to the heads have been replaced with silicone. More an issue with heat than with age.
- 02-09 Supercharger Install Guide Make a deal with Westn1 and sell your bike. You'll save a lot of time, aggravation and likely money.
- 5th & 6th VFR 800 Header build Just thinking if someone has been down this road before it might be worth picking their brain and seeing if it was dynode. After rereading it says the customers name was Dan Yoder . [image: dsc_8402.jpg?itok=o1-V4BDX]
- 5th & 6th VFR 800 Header build http://www.burnsstainless.com/bendquality.aspx Found this while searching for exhaust pics. Anybody know who this is?? Interesting design. [image: Honda V4 Side] [image: Honda V4] [image: Honda V4 Angle] [image: Honda…
- Any tips for restoring header pipes WITHOUT removing them? 20 hours ago, Duc2V4 Top is 01 header and bottom is (98-99) header... [image: IMG_3253_zpscf1hqn1k.jpg] A little off topic, sorry, but can anyone explain why Honda crossed the front downpipes on the cat headers?
- Help Identifying Trouble Points in Buying a 5th Gen 7 hours ago, slowbird The blue VFR with the Ohlins rear shock? No.This was a red 2000 in Mississauga on kijiji.
- Help Identifying Trouble Points in Buying a 5th Gen 5 hours ago, B4V4 Hopefully you were the lucky one to grab the Scarborough bike. It was very well equipped and looked like a well maintained and appreciated ride. I tried but couldn't get out there today and it sold. A…
- Help Identifying Trouble Points in Buying a 5th Gen As far as mods go, look for a bike in as close to stock condition as possible. The typical vfr owner isn't going to do any crazy mods to their bike unless it was crashed or they have no idea what the intended purpose of…
- Any tips for restoring header pipes WITHOUT removing them? I thought 98-99 ( catless) are steel and 00-01 (cat) are stainless. Not a grade of stainless that will hold a polish though. Mine have blackened over the years but only have minor rust around the cat. I'm sure location…
- Any tips for restoring header pipes WITHOUT removing them? If your pipes are stock they will be stainless. Why bother painting them?
- A Honda V4 race Replica I don't know much about race bikes. Can someone explain the aluminum tank on the hind quarters with the hose hanging out of it? for water I'm guessing?
- Another Pre-TMAC Adventure - Reptile Roads Great idea Rob, I'm in.
- 5Th Gen Wheel Bearings Standard 6204 sealed bearings. FAG, NSK or similar . I bought a set last year for $12 at a local industrial supply store. Can also try someplace that repairs heavy equipment or farm machinery.
- Merry Christmas Well if nobody else is going to say it I will, a Merry Christmas to everyone!
- Vid of my VFR800 at "Tail of the Gator" 3 hours ago, GatorGreg Thanks, but what is T Mac? I googled and all I found was stuff about former Orlando Magic player Tracy McGrady LOL. Search the events on this site. It's an annual get together held in North…
- Vid of my VFR800 at "Tail of the Gator" The roads in my part of the world aren't much better. Do yourself a favour and come to T Mac in the spring.
- What luggage actually looks good on a 5th gen??? 1 minute ago, hellindustries I've never seen anything look good on it. Givi or otherwise. The closest you're going to get is something reasonably curvy and colour-coded. What that would be, however? No idea. Curvy and…
- Coolant burning Sorry about the mess, this was just after purchasing. Someone had used red heater hose to replace old lines. Not good. I replaced them with silicone lines. Also check the 90 degree fittings from said lines to each head.…
- Coolant burning If it's never been done you need to give all the hose clamps a turn. One is likely weeping around the thermostat, under the throttle bodies.
- I need some guidance from the collective... http://www.cycleworld.com/2014/10/02/2015-honda-vfr800x-crossrunner-first-look-adventure-motorcycle-review-photos Pick up a souvenir when passing through Canada. Sorry, I thought these were available here but I may have…
- Going on a really long trip first time any tips Try to aim for Tmac week. When you get to the twisty stuff you'll go out of your mind riding behind HD's and Indians! The VFR has no trouble with the long haul :)
- Going on a really long trip first time any tips When and for how long? I did this trip two years ago from Ontario. Made a stop in Mill Run Pa. the first night and then the rest of the way to Franklin NC on hwy 219. That was a long day. Am I the only one thinking its…

- NEVER STOP LEARNING BMW K100?
- NEVER STOP LEARNING That's very impressive, but it makes one ask... why don't they use a bike better suited to the purpose? Is it just because that's the only American made option?
