Looks good, but I've never heard of Ionic.  They don't say where the batteries are made, so presumably in China!

I would assume not in the USA due to the restrictions on handling Lithium here. 

I placed the order yesterday morning and the battery was shipped and going to be delivered today. Gotta love quick shipping.

Just don't use the wrong type charger and carry a booster pack for colder weather as lithium doesn't like the cold. You will also need a dedicated charger if charging off the bike/ Dont charge it in the house ot garage unless you have good fire insurance. Seen too many pride and joys up in smoke, and the garage. Lithium apparently cannot be recycled either by all accounts as it is poisonous when made into batteries and cant be put in the ground. Is there not a picture floating about with thousands of tonnes of redundant lithium batteries that no one can take or wants?

Yes, I have a batt tender with lithium setting. My other bike has had a lithium batt in it for 3 yrs. I don't ride many cold days any more, but I have never had an issue with the bike not starting up. My bike are always on a tender if they are not rode. I even have 2 elec scooters that have lithium batteries in them and rode them on cold days. 

From the sounds of it, you must steer clear of lithium batteries. I understand there use to be a big issue with lithium heating up and starting fires. I don't see that much any more. 

With that being said what do you do with your phone or any other rechargeable devices that you buy now a days?

I have yet to charge one, and the first one I bought sat on the bench for almost a year before I installed it. That was 6 years ago, and it's still going. I've never had to use the restart function, but it's nice to know it's there if I do.

Looks like the same technology without the huge price. I find it amazing how small and light they are. Very easy to handle while installing and love the 4 terminals. I can easily check the battery status with my phone as well.

I'm a bit confused though as the specs say the battery is 5.9"/150mm long.

The ytx12 in my 5th Gen is 5 1/8"/130mm long. 150mm will not fit the battery box

Am I missing something? BTW, all their sizes are 5

Hmm, I just used the part finder on their website. Are you looking for a battery for a VFR or another bike?

If it's for a VFR I can get pictures and do measurements if needed.

My 9 year old Chrome battery left me stranded Sunday.  I've push-started one of my bikes back in the 80's without issue.  Not this time!  When the fuel pump won't kick in, your stuck!  Ask me how I know - yeah, I tried.

So the timing of your post was just what I needed to help me decide between Lead-acid or lithium.  It's still about double the price of a lead/acid, but the higher cranking amps and lighter weight are attractive.

These are LiFePO4, Lithium Iron Phosphate, not Lithium-Ion like in your laptop. Far safer and stable, very low risk of overheating.

Probably looking at a Bosch LiFePO4 size 14 listed on Amazon whenever the time comes.... around $130....

Thanks for the photos and measurements. When I measured my battery box, I found it will indeed fit. When I re checked my battery I found i had a yb12, not a ytx12.............🙃

I ended up taking one of the 3 spacers off the bottom, which made the battery sit lower in the box. It gave me more space to utilize the other terminals without trying to cram the cover closed.

The lithium cells themselves take up much less room than a standard AGM battery.  I took advantage of this when I chose my LiFePo4 battery--it physically fits into all of my bikes, from RS250 to ST1300, and I can connect it with a standard Anderson-type SB50:
