That would be me...

They're saying that the bike will have a 1000cc V5 with RCV (Rotating Cylinder Valve) technology. Not sure I know what that means.
It will also have an automatic tranny, the DN-01 style and push button shift, ride-by-wire, new ABS, etc...
They actually mentioned that exhaust will have two outlets under seat and one on the right.
It will be unveiled in October at the Milan show.

I sure hope that they offer DN-01 tranny and button shift as an option. Everything else sounds prety good to me

I believe that the under seat pipes are for the rear bank of 3 and the lower pipe is for the forward bank of 2.

I for one think that the one shown will be the one in the showroom floor.

Why would they have underseat pipes AND a belly pipe?

They did on the RC211V:

Exhaust tuning on V's can get pretty complicated. I can see how keeping the forward three separated from the back two could make things a little easier.

This one time . . . . . at band camp . . . . . . I decided to shove a trumpet on my bike and try and make it look different.
Uh, that kinda looks, uh, uh, uh, uhgly?

I am of the opinion, when it's here - it's real. Honda is reminding me of bad gas.
You're not sure if you should let it out, cause it might be noise and air, then again it could be s**t.
#15
Yup Photoshop fun, I do like the rims mind you

Look at the frame rail, just cut off and hanging there. I'm Sure Honda would have cleaned that up

The russian article actually mentiones the RC211V heritage.
I wonder if Honda reinforces that with the same exhaust routing :idea3:

Maybe they expect you to go to the local welder to finish the bike.

I wonder if they give you a rattle can with it.

Yes, this is truly the "best" thing (where is that smileyface-thingy that denotes SARCASM?) about the internet: spreading wild rumor and fantasy.

Ever read any interviews with Bill Bruford? He is the drummer from Yes and King Crimson. He always points out the way rumors from the internet become reality in people's minds or at least cause them to ask questions to the experts that clearly don't know or are not at liberty to answer. When something is years away I can see the value of wondering and discussing. When something is probably going to be released in a month, why debate and spend so much energy? Why not just wait and see for yourself? There are two kinds of people...those that have to pry and peek into their Christmas presents and those that just wait to be surprised. I like to be surprised. The alternative is wasted breath, energy, and keystrokes.

the notes have stated from the begining that there was to be no frame, just a section around the steering head and a bit for the swingarm.

dont purge these comments because I think it is true and I want to be vindicated.

Nah.
Couldn't possibly be that.
Why am I so sure you ask?
Two words - Rear Fender.

OTOTH, they could be diabolical enough to throw that in just to mess with us.

I wish that by 2010, Honda builds a V4 400cc mini VFR for the US market, I wish that it gives 90mpg, and I wish there would be peace on earth.
Nice tree of the Honda VF family.

Hey, it's not me! I've already thrown in my two VFR candidates just to mock the other garbage chops. Just goes to show that any knucklehead with a little ps experience can throw something together and call it golden.

Boy am I a dumba@%! I cleanly see the upper pipes but they are not for exhaust purposes. They circulate hot water from the radiator to heat the hot tub that will be offered as a add on. If you get this option, saddlebags will not fit. :goofy:
