that cb1100 cafe concept looks great.
but what happened to the cb1100r concept? I was really hoping to see more of that.

The CB1100 Cafe looks like it has a lot of potential too!

Im in class right now but i have to say something

THE CB1300 has pretty much the same upper fairing as the early VF's!

thats my favorite nose fairing on almost any Honda (cept the RC30 RC45, thems are classic)

too bad they decided to waste those smooth lines on the super touring couch :(

Yeah, the CB1300 is looking pretty cool. Looks like the older VFs.
Finally some shots of the VFR1200 with luggage. Doesn't look as good as the 6th gen does with luggage, but the bags will hopefully be good none-the-less.

Did anyone miss this?

Nope. Saw it. doesn't give me the fuzzies like I hoped. The side cases look alright-ish position-wise. Kind of want to mentally move them higher, but that's just cause they seem to be attatched to the empty air below the subframe. But a catch. Panniers are 29L. Aren't the 6th gen bags 35L? So they made the tank AND the luggage smaller for their bigger bike. That kind of pokes me a bit. Then again, this isn't the VFR, or the ST. Still having trouble getting the mental zone of this being a 1300S competitor and not what I think it should be.

Slick-looking display (as well it should be). Is it just me or does the addition of the touring gear help to disguise the hideous muffler a bit? I also agree with some who have posted that they like the reversion to the 1960's-style Honda badge. Nice touch. Thanks for posting the link!!

I noticed that too, that they're only 29L. I don't have the bags for mine yet (plan to this winter), but I also thought they were 35L. Can someone confirm?

The more I see photos of the new VFR in red, the more I hate it. Te multi-colored/layered fairing just looks short and misplaced. Looks like an aftermarkert lockhart piece for the early VF models (trying to look like a full fairing VFR)

The White is the only one that is kinda OK.... The black and white blend witht he frame and do not look so abrupt.

I think I'm with you on that. I can't get over how the tank (cover) flows into the fairing like it's all one piece, I think it is. You don't really notice it from the side. It looks less odd on the white bike. I'm going to have to see it in person.

I'm starting to like the looks the more I see the new VFR....that rear fender needs a foot chopped off of it though.

CHeck out the tank... the "shelter" only covers the sides. THat black stripe down the middle is the tank itself. Magnetic tank bags, no problemo.

If they'd ditched the shelter and just painted the whole tank, they could have expanded the sides out a bit without changing the shape... there's your extra gallon of fuel. Form won out over function there.

As someone who has owned a 2004 1000rr and a 2007 600rr I prefer the tank to be covered. Lots of benefits, plus you don't have to look at ugly stamping seams.

Yeah, I like that idea too, specially since I use a magnetic tank bag all the time, but why did they have to make it so "humpy"? Surely it's going to force the rider into a very small, restricted space which could be very uncomfortable over a distance. My mate's old BMW 1200S was like that and it wasn't real nice.

I'd bet $5 someone at Honda set an absolute rule of coming in under 600 lbs. At 591 another gallon of gas would have put it at or over the limit. The corporate collective/matrix at work... :dry:

edit: Now that I look again I do see the reason for the tank cover coming out and flowing in to the side fairings, covering the air intakes.

edit2: Notice where the rear brake reservoir is, under the seat?

Hmmm, looks like in a couple years there will be another Honda to source USD forks for projects.

I too liked the cb1100r concept!!! Where did it go!!! OMG the CB1300 SUPER TOURING is a hot bike!!!!
I bet it will not make it to the US market!!

Amazing what colour will do, isn't it? Just a subtle change to the colour scheme of that bike has lifted it from being a tacky, pseudo-retro effort to a classy looking bike.
