Notice, in the overview section, when you can "spin" the view around the bike, the do NOT show the head-on view.

Could it be because it looks ugly? Or perhaps, most motorcycles just look more exciting from the 3/4 viewpoint?

The center stand is not standard?? I like the hugger option.

the thing I find of most interest is the "MC NAVI KIT", which looks like it is a Garmin Zumo 550, with "unique controller to operate the navigation without taking your hands of (sic) the steering handles"...

...So I wonder if this unique controller can be bought seperately for those of us who already have Zumo's ??

WOW talk about a completely USELESS website....how about pricing?? I especially liked the "send to a friend" button...My friends would laugh at me and say, why don't you just buy a Ducati 1198S?

I thought it was more than a hint...I don't think you can buy the VFR800 over there. I guess it has to do with the availability. They are barely available over on this side of the water, so not offering the VFR800 in North America would just be plain dumb. Not to mention so many NA people hating on the VFR1200F, :ph34r: I'm not surprised Honda is afraid to eliminate the 800 here.

The 6th gen is still available as are a lot of other models not listed on that web page. There is a more extensive list of available accessories per model on this web page.

Best accessory for the Gen7 is to follow this procedure:

• Remove Gen7 VFU from license plate.
  
• Discard.
  
• Install <Gen6 VFR to license plate.
  
• Go ride.

Typical Gen 5 owner - I'm tellin' ya, those 5th gen owners are like cult members. ;)

Sixth gen owners have something no other VFR owner can claim: :cheerleader: VTEC! :cheerleader: Yep, it's essentially useless, but it's ours dammit!! :comp13:

By the way, Cynic...Really like that 7th Gen - the looks have always appealed to me, the ONLY problem I have with the whole setup is the tank size... What kind of range are you seeing with that beauty?

But since you asked: :offtopic: I don't have any need for more than 100hp or 800-900cc on the road. On the track maybe -but even then I've only been riding for 35 years so I'm not really up to using that horsepower on the track either. Perhaps in another 15-20 years I'll have the skills necessary to utilize that kind of a bike in a land where the maximum speed limit is 75-80Max. An 800cc bike is plenty big enough for me at this time.

Maybe the Gen8 VFR will be 1800cc and have 250hp? Are all the drawbacks and sacrifices to that extra and unnecessary cc's/HP really worth it?

And like the others, I'm really interested in what kind of practical range the Gen? gets on the road. Do you like the automatic transmission? If you are happy with it then that is great. I'm sure I wouldn't be. Different strokes I guess -it's a free world ;)

The CB1000R looks nice.

If all you need is a motorcycle adequate for doing 70mph you could probably save yourself the trouble of riding that overpowered VFR800 around and just stick with the XL650.
