Does anyone have an original Givi Wingrack (not the Wingrack 2) mounted on a 1993 -1997 VFR?

I picked one up on Craigslist from a guy who totaled his 1997 when he hit a deer. He was ok but the bike was totaled and insurance wasn't going to pay him for all his accessories so he took a few off. One of these was his Wingrack.

I got it home and apparently he left some of the hardware on the bike. Looks like I am missing a bracket that run above the rear tire. I tired to find mounting hardware on the web but it all looks like it is for the Wingrack 2.

If some one could snap some pics of what this missing bracket looks like I would be most appreciative. Figure if I know what it looks like I can make one.

Sort of like Arnold in Predator, "if it bleeds, we can kill it"

There is no bracket that runs above the tire unless you want to add a support brace they sell but not needed. You need the wing rack, 2 angle top pieces, top case mount, 2 brakcets the bolt to the grab handle bolts and to curved tubes that go from the wng rack to the lower foot peg rear bolts.

Here is a picture of the original Wingrack mounted on a 1997 VFR with the bracket above the rear tire. The rack is different than the Wingrack 2 and you can see there is no attachment to the passenger grab rail handle boss.

It looks like the bar just below the side panel is attached to some clips that attach to the rear subframe.

Well after digging through several threads on a couple of forums I have found out that the Wingrack 2 (N141) and original Wingrack (E141) will work with the current Givi mounting kit (Y154). The mounting kit (Y143) on the bike I got the rack from has been disconitnued. Thank Slo!

I think you are referring to the support bar that goes from one wing to the other. If you don't have a top case mount, then they add this accessory bar to make the rack rock solid. I believe you can get one sent to you if you just phone them up. I know Timmy has that bar on his bike.
