Can you help me identify this wheel?

Hey all, I bought a Honda Hawk GT over the winter (fun bike!) and it came with a non-stock front wheel. It's a Honda OEM wheel, but I'm not sure what model it's from. The guy I bought it from was pretty condifent it was off a VFR and it does look like the wheel on my 5th gen VFR800, but when I purchased an EBC front rotor meant to fit gen 4 and 5 VFR, the fit was way off. So here's a pic, hopefully someone can help me out. It's 17" tall, 3.5" wide and it's made by Enkei.

Looks like CBR600F2.

It's definitely not a 4th, 5th, or 6th gen front wheel.

Spokes look like an F2 or F3 wheel, but the rotor bolts seem too far out for that.

Pretty sure that's a 600 F2 wheel, looks just like the one I had on mine.

Think the F3's had a smaller center section, as did the 900's...

Yup, looks like a solid match. That was quick, thanks folks! If there's any interest, I could definitely post more pics once I have her cleaned up (waiting for a semi-custom tail cowl).

That wheel is also used on the 3rd gen VFR.

Your wheel is from a) a CBR600F2 or b) a 90-93 VFR (3rd gen). That wheel is to be used with solid rotors, although Keny found that a floating rotor could be fitted. Might have been a VFR400 part from EBC, send him a message or search for his posts here.

Third-gen wheels were never made in black, but that wheel looks like it's been repainted anyway. I once bought a set of "semi-floating" rotors (from Braking) in that pattern for my FL--they're currently on my old CBR1k, which uses the same rotors, but the wheels only have three spokes.

You can interchange that wheel with a 4th-gen wheel, but I believe the rotors on the earlier wheel are thicker.

F2, I run that on my Hawk. Has the wheel driven speedo drive opening on the left side, which I didn't think 3rd gen vfr750's had.

The "old" rotor is stock Hawk, which is bigger diameter than f2 but same bolt pattern/spacing. You must have Hawk forks and brakes.

The "new" rotor looks like it is for f3, or gen 4 vfr, or vfr/rvf 400 (same wheel & brake disc), also works on superhawk.

spent tonight doing wheels/rotors on the Hawks, both stock and F2 ;)

Damn, you're right! I should have known that! :blush: Yes, the 90-93 had a cable-driven speedo run off the countershaft sprocket nut. VFR's after 93 went to electronic pickup at the same location.
