Anyone bought an outdoor cover?

I'm looking for any experiences or recommendations anyone may have. Sizing could be an issue too. My bike has factory bags, but no carrier.

My 39 dollar walmart special is working fine at 1.5 years. Louisiana sun has faded it, but it is still working. I have had a bunch of others over the past 20 years, this is the cheapest, and it works

Still using my Nelson Rigg cover. Works pretty well on the 5th gen (size medium). Don't have to fold the mirrors in. It's a pain to get the back of it on with the full wingrack on the bike, but fit like a glove before that. Can be packed down to nothing. Little bunjees on the bottom are nice to keep the cover from rubbing and bouncing on the paint.

Buy one off Ebay 24.00 free shipping . I have side bags and trunk XL fits fine.

I have an OFXORD STORMEX outdoor bike cover. It does what it's supposed to do. It also has a synthetic fleece layer on its inner side and can be put on immediately after a ride (no need to wait till the engine cools down. Very good product from Oxford, 100% recommended! :fing02:
For my Honda VFR 800 I've got an "L" size, so it fits like a glove with two side coffers being on the bike.

Nothing beats my CycleShell if it's going to be kept outside in the seasons. We had somewhere around 5/6 feet of snow total this winter, and the shell held up fine. Of course, you pay for that level of protection.

This is for home use,

if looks arent important, just buy the largest thickest walmart tarps and double tarp. all tarps are only good for about a year if weather exposed(they break down). single tarps are subjected to easy condenstation. But if you double tarp and lay a towel over the seat, it will soak any condenstation and work really well

I like the awning - but I think I like the CycleShell more.

not pretty, but the same cost as a good dowco cover.
