Just bought my 5th gen a couple months ago and have been mostly lurking and reading up on all the great info. Figured it was time I should introduce myself. :smile: My bike is a 98 and came with heli-bars, heated grips, Two Brothers high mount exhaust, and an extra sargent seat (which I'm not particularly fond of). The PO also made some "interesting" suspension mods like an F2 spring in one of the fork tubes as well as an Ohlins shock. I plan on getting the suspension re-sprung for my weight although it's plenty competent for it's current commute duty.
I've changed the R/R to a Rick's unit and installed a set of new tires, since the PO had tires over 10 years old on it! Made a huge difference in handling obviously. Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of these nasty flames. The PO laid it down on the right side and replaced with a new fairing which is nice and decal free. But the left side still has the decals, which have been clear coated! It's not so noticeable in the day time but at night it's reflective.
