Hey,
So 4-6 months ago, the FI light on my '00 VFR came on. I ran the built-in diagnostic test, and it came back that one of the sensors (O2, I think) was faulty. I also found out that one of the ignition coils was completely disconnected, which meant that I was running on only 3 cylinders! I reset the error code, re-connected the coil, and went merrily on my way, happy to have the additional power. I never replaced the O2 sensor because the error never came back up after I reset it.
Then, a month ago, my R/R got fried because of corrosion in the connectors between the alternator and R/R. I replaced with an R/R from a ZX-14 (MOSFET), and again went merrily on my way.
A couple of days ago, my FI started flickering on and off. It seems that it goes on and off with one of the blinkers, and occasionally with the brake. It doesn't come on full power, but it is on, albeit dimly.
Should I be worried?
